BAD WEATHER IN OUR WORLD OR MY WORLD ?

It's sad to say but my world in our world is rather limited by the bad weather ! Instead of going out and see flowers and a starting spring, I am locked in like an inside cat because of rain, cold, wind, snow or all together. Yesterday we had the coldest day ever recorded in March -6° C to -14°C in the Ardennes ! (21 to 6.8 !)



The cats sit on the radiator and wait for better times to go out mouse hunting



I too wait and watch TV instead of photo hunting and visiting interesting places.



Of course I visit my friends and we are starring in the open fire, wishing to lay in the sun or at least sit outside.





And when mid March appeared and we were all hopeful to see the first signs of spring .... it snowed ! Not much but still to feel depressed !



Easter this year is on April's fool day and if we are "lucky" we can search for frozen eggs and chocolate. Fortunately the Easter Bunny has a fur coat !

And in other parts of the world it's too hot, too dry, and too stormy.



This post confirms that if you don't know what to write or talk about there is always one theme ! The weather ....

WEEKEND REVIEW March 23

I had made plans for the weekend according to the weather forecast. But either the weatherman behaves like a politician and changes his mind all the time according to the mood of what people want to hear, or he loves in my case the 2000 and something sorts of beer a little too much !



In any case instead of the expected snow in the Ardennes and hail in our region, we had a rather sunny day with some fluffy clouds from time to time. But it was too late to change my program so I did laundry, turned off the deep freezer and carried the content in a cool box over to my neighbor's deep freezer to stock it there until mine was defrosted and cleaned.

I did a lot of blogging too and we even put Oscar the lawn mower robot out before the hail or rain started. Nothing started !

I was fed up staying home and called Nicole who was in the same situation. We decided to have a coffee in our new discovered Brasserie at the Mont St. Jean farm.



When we arrived to our big surprise they were busy to transform one of the barns into a bar and a little snack. From what we could see it looked rather nice. As it was Saturday I couldn't ask anybody what they really built there and the waiters in the "Orangerie du Prince" didn't know nothing.

We had our coffee and made plans for the next week. When we left still no weather catastrophe !

Sunday I went with Ilona to a Garden Center store, which is open on Sundays, usually all other shops or supermarkets are closed which is very boring. We both bought a cute stone cat figurine for our gardens and Ilona some earth. We then had a coffee together before I returned home.

And .... it rained and hailed ! The weatherman was only one day late ! 

THE WEATHER

Since two weeks I have started to read my blog from the beginning in 2006. I noticed two things. My English has improved and I am always talking about the weather. My posts could help to calculate the average weather during the years of 2006 til now.

Mostly it rains in my posts, but from time to time there is also some sun shining through. Anyway in this season I always complain, it's wet, cold, humid, just a weather to hang yourself on the next apple tree, but I have none in our garden.

My cats Rosie and Arthur are my weathermen, they jump on me during the night with soaked fur and this way tell me that it rains again, this also makes me very happy.

The weather is and has always been the best introduction for a conversation. If you have nothing to say talk about the weather. It works everywhere, in shops, hospitals, public transport, administration, dentists, doctors etc etc. You only have to start with "Phew it's hot today" or "Phew is it cold today" or "Phew it's pours" ! and you get an answer immediately.

For the moment I am not in a very cheerful mood. Therefore I am talking about the weather !

10. All politicians want to visit Copenhagen that's why they take their private airplanes to go there and spoil the air a little more

11. They discuss why it is too hot or too cold or too wet or too dry, and what they should do about it, while outside the pro and cons demolish each other and the police.

12. This morning my mailman told me that it is cold. I only could confirm

13. But tomorrow it will be warmer.
