FRIDAY's FAVE FIVE

As it rained as usual, and most of the shops are closed on Mondays, because they had to work on Saturday, I decided to make a lazy day. First I took care of myself, nails, hairs, etc, but it at the end I had still the same face and the rest was the same too. Maybe a bit lighter. then I watched a crime story and ate my lunch, and the murder at the end was the priest of the village ! Then it was time for our activities, and this time Bingo was on the program ! I like this game unfortunately I didn't win. 

The next day was almost the same, except the game, which was real funny and made everybody laugh ! You didn't need much for the game, just a metal tray and two large water containers. Cords were tied to the containers, but some weren't. Now you had to pull the cord that wasn't tied and the tray stayed on the containers. Of course, even for us oldies it was much nicer when the metal tray fell to the floor with a lot of noise. Kim covered his ears and some took out their hearing aids. We were probably louder than a kindergarten.

 

With this sad weather we needed some fun games!  The next day we made such a noise that our staff suddenly arrived, one after the other,  because we were almost louder than the drilling of the workers! This time we had to throw plastic balls into cups hanging between the tables! Of course, many balls fell on the floor and we all jumped around to pick them up.

 

 Here they are, nurses, caregivers, cleaners, the accountant etc. Everybody had forgotten the lousy weather  !

At the end of the week, we visited a Museum in the next town. We were 14 even two in wheelchairs. We saw the exhibition of Hergé, the creator of Tintin. It was very interesting, I will writer about it later.

And I ended the week with my still not ready new Blog. I wonder if it will be ready for next year !

HODGEPODGE FEBRUARY 26

 1. February 26th is National Tell A Fairy Tale Day...have you read a fairy tale lately? What's your favorite fairy tale? Do you believe in 'happily ever after'? 

That's a century ago that I haven't read a fairy tale ! I have a boy, who had a lot of friends, and fairy tales didn't interest them at all ! 

When I was a child I read them all (I think) I would like to believe in "happily ever after" but sometimes the destiny decides otherwise.

 My problem is that I don't know what I want ! One day I want to go in this hotel in Tunisia where the SPA was so wonderful, to relax with sea and sun ! The next day I hear that strikes are on airports and buses and tubes and then I would sit for I don't know how many hours blocked somewhere, or stay in my cozy cave and when the sun shines lie down somewhere in our park? I could also go to a swimming pool. Maybe we'll have a few hot days like last year or it will rain again until August. I think I'll stop thinking and see how things develop. As the saying goes, "Wait and see"!

This is Cookie, the guardian of the Animal food shop, we know each other since nearly 20 years, when they opened the shop. He doesn't speak, but he whistles not when he sees a man, only when he sees girls or a woman ! He has a lot of success, and no problems with the government who wants to make a law which forbids men to whistle after a woman, because that's sexual harassement ! ! ! I like when Cookie whistles when I walk past his cage. At least a parrot admires me !

As usual when I looked out of the window I saw a dark grey sky, and bare branches! I would have preferred to stay in bed, but my little pest Rosie meowed softly behind my head at intervals, so that I was always waiting for the next meow. Finally, as always, I gave in, "hopped" out of bed to go to the bathroom, followed by the pest. When I had filled her bowl, she looked at me, turned around and went back to her basket! I almost became a cat murderer. The whole castle is being renovated and you can hear the drills and hammers all day long! Luckily not so much in my room, I play loud music and then I don't hear anything. Unfortunately I didn't hear the knock on my door neither when I was wearing Eva's costume and wanted to get a sweater out of the closet. Fortunately I could stop the person in time ! I think I will put a sign on my door "Please don't disturb before 10.30 h ! In the afternoons we all get together and have our games and coffee. It's always very funny, and nice when the weather is so bad outside. I wonder where all this water comes from ? My grandma had told me that it came from crying angels ! That must be millions of angels crying to produce such an amount of water !

I am sorry, but I have to stop, I lost my whole text, I don't know how, suddenly half of the page had disappeared. Anyway there was nothing special happening this week, maybe the couple next door don't hide anymore that they drink a lot of wine and beer, instead of hiding the bottles they put them outside the door. In the morning I see then 2 bottles of red wine and 6 bottles of very strong beer. From time to time they fight, I can hear them, but otherwise they don't disturb anybody so it's their problem. The other neighbor drinks too, even more, no beer but at least 2 bottles of red wine and during lunch in the restaurant 2 carafes ! She is 86 years old and she told me that she became alcoholic when her husband died, she is 86 and I think if that makes her happy why not !
