In general I never pay attention to flyers or pubs. On our mailbox I put a sticker which are given in all post offices or shops.
There were so many publicities in our mailbox that it was hard to find any letter but this didn't bother me that much because at our age there are mostly obituaries, and invoices.
Ever since the sign is on our mail box it is empty or sometimes some snails camp in there and eat up the mail, which means mostly invoices. My friends and most of the companies send everything per email and even cards for Easter, Birthday or now Christmas are email cards. Last year I have got exactly 2 Christmas cards by snail mail, which is the right expression they were sent in October and arrived end December !
I have nothing against folders from supermarkets, as long as they are sent by email. I hate to waste paper, in this regard I am an ecologist.
Therefore I had to look on Internet and opened Google Chrome. My homepage is our Newspaper, which informs me about corrupted politicians, murders, accidents, natural catastrophes, and wars between x and y. And the Brexit of course, all rather bad News, seldom there is something positive like a Royal baby for example, but they can't make babies all the time.
Fortunately right on the top was this ad :
A great device makes your computer like new in ten seconds !
Thanks to this "prompt" I read it which I probably wouldn't have done normally. It says that you don't need to buy a new computer it makes your old one like new and is a nightmare for the IT companies.
It says : Instead of buying a new laptop or desktop, you should take a look at this newly launched device. It completely refurbishes your computer that is old and slow. And the best in all of this ... its price is very affordable!
As I have an old an slow computer, I could try it ! Thanks to Linda and her idea to write about an "Ad".
It really sounds great, but I don't trust easily anybody or anything. Must google a bit to learn more !

FRIDAY's FAVE FIVE
On Monday I recovered from our wonderful 50th Wedding anniversary in the city hall, then in the restaurant and at the end at home.
I had put our gifts and the beautiful flowers I have got from my son on a table. I was too lazy to do anything, and sat on the sofa and put all photos I had got from different people together. I just relaxed and looked at the pictures. They were all so nice.
The beautiful vase I had got from the city, I transferred to a lamp, I put a Christmas light garland inside and it looks beautiful when it is dark.
We had also celebrated the 9th birthday of Toby our grandson, who was happy with the gifts he got. I had bought him this sweater and he had asked for a Nintendo Switch game Fifa 2000
He showed me how it worked, but I only saw little red and white flees running on a football field behind a dot. He asked me for the password of our internet and I was a bit surprised that he knew that you need a password. But as a well educated grandma I asked first his Daddy if I was allowed to let him on Internet. We ate the birthday cake and then they returned to Amsterdam.
I spent the next day with sorting out all photos there were a lot and I put them in different files.
I came to the conclusion that I had more fun at our 50th wedding anniversary then on our wedding, organized by my father who had invited mostly his colleagues, and we didn't know half of them. I had the impression this day that I was in a theatre play. Here at least we were with our friends and everybody really had a lot of fun.
Myriam had discovered a new restaurant in Waterloo, a Lebanese one and as we love to try out things we don't know we went there and it was real good.
It was a buffet "all you can eat" absolutely delicious a lot of vegetables and not too spicy ! We really enjoyed it.
We were full when we came out, did a little (very little) window shopping and then returned home, it was very cold and not nice to walk outside.
The Lebanese restaurant with Myriam and Nicole in front.
I am sorry if I mixed up the days, I forgot to mention our Scrabble on Monday at Myriam's where oh miracle I won !! That was the second time since we have started our Scrabble club.
And of course I also have been to my aqua gym, the last time for a few months, with my COPD disease I have days where breathing is a bit difficult. I will wait until it gets warmer again. I don't want to get a Bronchitis neither !
Tomorrow I have to drive Mr. G. to the hospital he gets a cataract surgery !

MY GOLDEN WEDDING
We had married on October 11, 1969 and on this occasion we got an invitation from the mayor of our city to celebrate with other couples this event on November 16.
We got a list to fill in how we met and some anecdotes etc and then got back a list of the program to follow !
We had to have a driver and sit in the back of the car. Our son was our driver and our DIL and grandson went with our neighbor.
We had a special parking space where we had to wait and were then directed to entrance of the city hall where an orchestra in Napoleon's uniforms started to play when we had got out of the car !
Then we were conducted by a man (on the picture it looks as if the King and Queen arrive with their body guard),
t
Our mayor and us
and then we arrived inside and were greeted by the mayor and her aldermen with three kisses !
Here we listened to the speeches, she told little stories about each couple, and then we were invited to a reception with Champagne and nibbles.
But first we got our gifts
Our son (the tall one) and our daughter in law just below him and our best friends
There was enough for everybody
Father, son and grandson
Mr. G. had booked a Brunch for our guests in an Italian restaurant called "La Trattoria". Two of my friends left the reception earlier to decorate the table with a yellow table cloth, a garland of red roses and a huge golden "50".
There was a big variety of cold food as starters, hot food and three different kinds of cakes. It was all very good. Of course we were happy that everything went smooth.
Besides our family, my son his wife and grandson there were all our best friends. The one on below row left had been my witness 50 years ago !
After lunch we invited them all to have a drink at home.
Fortunately we managed to have space for everybody and some bottles of Champagne with or without alcohol disappeared !
From the City we have got a beautiful cristal vase and a Diploma for our 50th wedding anniversary, in the treasure box our friends had put envelopes and the flowers were from my son.
and here I am with son, daughter in law and grandson, who had his 9th birthday the next day.
For Nonno and Nonna's wedding celebration he had put on a suit and was very proud. He is quite tall for his age, nearly 1.55 m and has the same shoe size as me !
This is the beautiful vase we got and Mr. G. wears the 50th ! We had a real nice day, but went early to bed, because we were rather tired !
It certainly was an unforgettable day !
