Skywatch Friday

This is my last week at the Red Sea in Egypt , the two weeks went by so quickly and Wednesday we return home into the cold ! It will be a big difference from + 28°C to - 1°C !

But meanwhile we enjoy the holidays. Mornings beach, then lunch, then beach then supper and in the evening we are on our tablets or smartphones and chat with other people.




Nicole had her two grandchildren painted and I think it came out very well !



Then we had a strawberry festival, with an orchestra followed by cooks who carried an enormous tray with all kind of things made from strawberries !



Nicole tries the strawberry cake (in the back) it was so good ! Not like our very expensive watery strawberries ! Here at least they had the real taste of strawberries ! Sunshine for them is more then enough !



We were also invited to the VIP party given by the hotel manager for guests who came more than 5 times. It was very nice to see so many faces and say hello to people I have seen since several years. Here we are sitting with a couple from the north of Scotland, I know them already since 3 years. They had also been there last year in November !



and when I came into my room I found this dog (or is it a pig ?) on my bed !!

1. Where do you go when you need some inspiration?

I don't really go around and look for inspiration, it comes to me from alone wherever I am or it doesn't come at all !

2. What's under your bed?
A book shelf with a drawer, I am sleeping  high up !

3. Thursday, February 22nd is National Chili Day, National Margarita Day, and National Cook a Sweet Potato Day. Of the three which would you most like to celebrate? Is that likely?

That's a lot of National Days to celebrate but as it is national I leave it to the nationals, because none of these plates except Chili con carne I eventually could celebrate _

4. What are you 'snowed under' with right now?



Not a good expression for me laying in the sun on the beach ! I am rather under the sun !


5. Tell us three to five things that make you feel balanced?



Light, sunshine, warmth, my hobbies, and no fights !

Very difficult ! How should I dress tonight we are invited to the VIP cocktail party by manager !!

HOLIDAYS AT THE RED SEA EGYPT

We enjoy very much our holidays in Hurghada




After weeks and weeks of rain we almost didn't know anymore how the sunshine looked like







Here we enjoy our nice place on the beach with a beautiful view on the sea.



There have been a lot of improvements since we had been here last November. There is a new restaurant on the beach for something light to eat for lunch. The decoration is light and airy real beautiful. We also have internet which works ! Even on the beach and in the rooms.

So far we haven't done anything besides recuperate, we were both not feeling very well. There are lots of English and Germans here and for the first time also Frenchs. That's funny because the staff whom I know ask me to give them French lessons or at least the most important words. I have never been a teacher but it is fun. Especially with words like "There is a show tonight ..... belly dance, fakir etc or the way to the restaurant is this way. And of course I had to translate them "I love you" !

So I am working hard even during holidays !!
