Today is my last day here in Libramont. All workshops will show their students works. Of course I will take pictures because some paintings, sculptures or ceramics are very beautiful !
The musicians will give concerts to show us what they have done, that probably will be a lot of fun ! This afternoon I saw a young student preparing a Rap text, he rapped with his paper in his hand and from time to time stopped to correct a line ! Our taggers also slowly finish the wall they decorate.
Sunday afternoon I return home ! Time went by so quick !

SHOW & TELL
More participants are here at Kelly's Show and tell Friday
As you may know, I am actually in the Ardennes (Belgium) in a summer academy attending a photography workshop. Unfortunately there is no internet connection on the campus itself and I have to go in a Cyber Café. There is no USB connection on the computers either so I can't show you any pictures, but at least tell something.
We are around 300 students in different kind of workshops. There are painting and drawing courses, stone and wood sculpturing, muppet creations, ceramic, etc and a lot of music students, such as drums, piano, jazz, rap and others. There are even singing stones ! Some of these workshops I have never seen in my life.
In my group we are 3 women, two boys of 21 and 4 very young girls. Three of them are not really there for photography but more for boy hunting and they giggle the whole day about nothing. My teacher is a lady in her 50 very good and nice. I learned already quite a lot and the results you will see on sunday when I go back home.
Student life is fun, as there are not enough rooms I have tents in front of my window and as the doors don't close with a key from inside, some people had the surprise to get visitors in the middle of the night, because they mixed up the rooms. I put a chair at my door, so nobody can get in without waking me up ! I don't want to have somebody else suddenly in my bed !
We have wonderful weather and a lot of students sing, or do music outside. That's very nice. They also sit on the grass and draw.
In the evening there is always a concert of what the students have realized during the day.

NO COMPILED NEWS TODAY BUT SUMMERSCHOOL
No compiled News today because I am in a summer school in Libramont, which probably nobody knows besides Belgians. I am supposed to learn Photoshop there. It is the "Académie d'été" (Summer academy or college) where you attent courses in music (instruments and singing), painting, drawing, sculpturing etc. and photography. The students are 16 to X years old and we are located in a boarding school. That will be student life for a week !
Blogger does the post publications for me for all memes, because I don't know yet if I can find Internet connection. I will be back on Sunday 27.

FUN MONDAY - THEN AND NOW
Irish coffehouse asks us about our Careers : Then and Now
THEN: As a child day dreaming of what your future would hold for you, what did you want to be when you grew up? Did you ever pursue or achieve it?
NOW: If you could be trained and placed in any career beginning tomorrow, what would it be?
As a child I wanted to be married and have two children, a boy and a girl. I gave up this idea very quickly when I saw my father as an example of a good husband. He was a womanizer and I started to dislike all men.
Around 12 I wanted to become an actress and a very famous one and saw myself sitting in a big car and waving to people and earning a lot of money. I gave this idea up too because getting older I became more realistic. So I really didn't know what to do after school.
The move from Germany to Brussels and the very difficult start there because I didn't know any french, directed me into a completely other way which probably I wouldn't have chosen if I would have stayed in Germany.
I learned languages just like that without any school or classes, because I had too. Writing I learned from reading, first french then English where I had some knowledges from school. Then I worked for American companies as a secretary and climbed the steps of a carreer as a Sales Manager assistant for France, Germany and Italy. Languages allowed me to get a far bigger picture of the world and opened up my horizons. I had and still have friends from different countries since at least 30 years which was quite unusual at that time because most of the people stayed in their countries it was not like today with the students exchanges.
Thinking this over and looking back I think life had put me in a good way and if I had to start again I would probably love to do the same. I only would change some boss and sue a lot of them for sexual harrassement !

WEEKLY WINNERS
More participants here at Sarcastic Mom Weekly winners
On our way from Belgium to Italy we had to go through Germany and stopped half way in a small town (or village) before Munich. We use the guide "Links und rechts der Authobahn" which means, "left and right from the Highway". There you find all hotels not far away from the highway which are very nice and a lot cheaper then the once on the highway.
We landed up in the Hotel Crab (or cancer that's my astrological sign). It was a typical bavarian little town.
In the middle of the market place stood this May tree
Here you can see it better
I found this fountain quite original
and this tree very amusing in his net
There was a very old abandonned guesthaus "Zur alten Post" (to the old post)
and a little church
with a very special roof !
Besides the church was the cimitary
and a little river crossed the town
The kind of houses you could see
The food was excellent, I had a fresh trout. The next day then we continued our way to Italy.
