The first thing I discovered was that the once so beautiful Pier (see above) which had partly burnt down in 2014, had not as promised by the all the politicians (on TV) built up again as it had been before, no, it was sold to a rich Sheikh who starts to own slowly whole Eastbourne ! Money always win.
In a particular sense of humour he had had written "Thank you for visiting Sheikh’s Pier.”which you could read when you went out !

Now the Pier looks naked in the middle, there is nothing but pick nick tables with benches, where you can eat and drink the food you bought on the Pier and not your own.
After that I walked along the seafront and there were more people as usual as the Eastbourne Air Show had begun. People were sitting on the beach and everywhere they could to watch the airplanes performing. I was not so interested by the airplanes but more in the drawings they made in the sky.
I took a some pictures and before I got sunburnt, I walked along the main street, where nothing seemed to had changed. Still the old souvenir shops, I nearly know by heart;
Then I took my bus home and later we went for the traditional Friday Fish and Chips to the habour.
