DISCUSSIONS WITH A DOG
More participants here
Mr. Gattino doesn't move enough and the Doctor told him that he has to walk every day. So he walks each morning from his car to the café where he takes his coffee with his friends. Of course the car has to be parked as close as possible to his café.
But my friend and neighbour Dominique has a beautiful dog who needs to be walked every day. On Thursdays she babysits her grandson and I thought this is the opportunity for Mr. Gattino's health, a walk with a dog ! So every thursday we have an agreement, he walks Yanouk or rather Yanouk walks him. Until yesterday !
As usual Mr. Gattino took the leash and went with Yanouk on the street. There, Yanouk suddenly sat down and had no intention to move. I have to say he is an elderly gentleman now and became quite stubborn the last year. He knows exactly what he wants and what he doesn't want. This time it was clear he didn't want to walk with Mr. Gattino.
Mr. Gattino tried to convince him
and talked and talked
Yanouk got bored and just layed down. Helpless Mr. Gattino called me "what shall I do ?"
When Yanouk heard my voice he stood up and looked at me. I understood and joined them. It was such a nice weather that I proposed to go together. But Mr. Gattino was only too happy that he didn't have to walk and he quickly disappeared to make his little afternoon nap.
and Yanouk, very happy, walked me from tree to tree and we did a big tour of over an hour. Then he was tired and ready for a long afternoon nap and I was happy I could take quite a lot of pictures !

THURSDAY THIRTEEN - Quotes about Golf
In Europe, if you are not born with a golf club in your with authentic lace decorated craddle, it is a must to play golf if you wish to be somebody and to be considered as a distinguised, posh, (but not always well educated) person belonging to the so said upper class.
Before you know if the man is married, widow or bachelor if he has a dog or a cat he would tell you in the first 3 minutes that he is playing golf. This is good for his selfesteem.
Here are 13 funny quotes about Golf
1. Sometimes it takes seventeen years to get three thousand hits in baseball and only one afternoon on the golf course.
2. The reason the pro tells you to keep your head down is so you can’t see people laughing.
3. I’m not saying my golf game went bad, but if I grew tomatoes, they’d come up sliced.
4. Golf is a good walk spoiled.
5. If you notice that you are getting better at golf it is because you are hitting fewer spectators
6. Golf is a day spent in a round of strenuous idleness.
7. You play golf with friends sometimes, but there are never friendly games.
8. The worst part of playing golf, by far, is hitting the ball.
9. Don’t play too much golf. Two rounds a day are plenty.
10. Golf is an expensive way of playing marbles.
11. Golf is a game, not a sport.
12. The uglier a man’s legs are, the better he plays golf — it’s almost a law.
13.the people who gave us golf and called it a game are the same people who gave us bag pipes and called it music.

Part of my world is also going to the market at the South station in Brussels, each sunday morning when the weather is nice. I decided to take pictures of my way back to Waterloo. It is only 20 min.

FUN MONDAY - Work
Sayre has this challenge for us :
Take your camera to work and take pictures of the things that inspire you as you work or that inspires your coworkers. Ask them (or yourself) what it is about that particular object or picture that makes the work day seem a little easier.
If you don't work outside the home, take a picture of the thing that helps you get through the day and inspires you to have the best day you can.
Since a few years I don't work outside anymore, but I don't work inside either. I run my own company, by running in and around our house, in short : I am retired.
To help me getting through the day I have 5 things and not only one. My 5 cats !
I have to settle their fights
I am sending my only employe to the mailbox so that I avoid too much effort and am not overworked,
I also leave him the education of our youngest cat Rosie
and I use my cats as models. See above header
I also watch TV when it is cold and rainy outside
and all this inspires me to make the best of my days. I need no help to go through it ! Days are even too short !

In the 60th 70th a city employe in Waterloo had the great idea to plant cherry trees in all streets of new residence areas. Since then they have grown and each spring they are blooming. It is beautiful to walk through the streets under this pink roof.
