Jenny Matlock's Alphabet ThursdayI don't know why, but I love the word
"quirky" ! I heard it for the first time watching the BBC series "Escape to the country" where houses, rooms or even gardens where discribed as
"quirky". This made me curious and I did a little research about this word and that's what I learned :
Quirky means a mixture of odd, unusual, eccentric, idiosyncratic, curious, peculiar, unpredictable, singular, fanciful, whimsical, capricious.
It is a word best used by one person to describe another. Those who apply
"quirky" to themselves thereby call into question their very own "quirkiness" by seeming gleefully self-aware and that's why it makes me think maybe I like the word because it rather fits on me of course with some exceptions.
I also read that something or someone that is
quirky is rather odd or unpredictable in their appearance, character, or behaviour. And
quirky means: strikingly unconventional.
