1. Apparently Monday doesn't bring me luck, I lost again in our scrabble game, this time it was my turn. We raked our brains so much that we only could play one game and even during our coffee break we were still thinking hard !
The garden is closed, now we have to play inside. Look at the thick pullover of Nicole although it was warm in the room, but she feels always cold.
Arthur was delighted to have so many ladies around him to be petted and as they all wore leather shoes and he is a leather fetishist he was amongst our feet under the table and drugged himself !
2. I have some serious breathing problems with this cold and very humid weather and have to take my spray still in bed before I get up. During the day as long as I do not a big effort it's OK. And in summer I have nothing !! I am born on the wrong side of the world !
So I spent the day quietly home in the warmth and blogged, and created headers and other things, just played around. Was great fun and I learned again a few new things.
3. After acqua gym my friend Bunny and I talked about next year's summer holidays, because she wants also to travel with English speaking people, and she is the only one who speaks English. I have tried 3 times with other friends but it is very tiring when you have to translate all the time especially when we were 3. One is OK there is no problem. Now we have to decide on the destination. Making travel plans is also very nice !
4. Mr. G. and Monique had gone to the big trash center, where they take everything from nails to cupboards. We had a few things amongst others two garden chairs, which our son with his feather weight had broken and I broke the other one. When they came home I had prepared coffee and cookies and we chatted the rest of the afternoon and made plans about the New Year's celebration. We probably will all come here, last year it was at Nicole's.
5. Today was a black day although it started well with my painting class.
There were only a few absent, I finished my black cat, and our accountant checked the payments. After the class we went to the restaurant we had discovered recently. While I was there Mr. G. rang to tell me that our TV, Wifi, etc the whole package had broken down and that a technician would come between 1 h and 5 pm (!!!) a rather large time frame ! He wanted to go and play cards and I was waiting for my food in the restaurant ! Finally the guy arrived and Mr. G. didn't miss too much of his game.
At home I wanted to change the password or pattern of my smartphone, managed it without any problems, but with the result that I couldn't remember where and how I had put the new pattern ! I tried and tried and finally each time I had to wait longer. At 48 min I took my car and went into a repair shop. Was it complicated and so expensive that I could have bought a new one. So I went there were I bought it. The responsible had his day off, my chance ! and so I have to return tomorrow in the hope that he can fix it right away ! In 2 weeks I am off to Egypt and I need this thing !
I am glad that this bewitched day is over and hope that I won't fall out of my bed this night or step into a gift of my cats !

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

My personal USB stick is red ! all my pictures are on it
I am sorry on all photos I look round, but that's the position I take the whole day, except when I unfold to do my business !
How do you say shit in a polite word ? because it rains and I can't go outside, so I squat her computer !
1. In a rut, in a jam, in the groove, out of synch, off balance, out of touch...which saying best fits some area of your life currently (or recently)? Explain.
Difficult question because I didn't understand all words, living in a rut according to the dictionary is :
Definition of rut - a long deep track made by the repeated passage of the wheels of vehicles, An annual period of sexual activity in deer and some other mammals, during which the males fight each other for access to the females.‘a moose in rut’
Therefore this doesn't fit because besides our peaceful street without deep tracks, there is nothing and I haven't seen sexual activities of deers or even other mammals, as our cats and dogs are all spayed, and the males are too lazy to fight.
Jam is also strange because besides the one I put on a bread I didn't know that I can be squeezed or packed tightly into a specified space. Ah, yes, "traffic jam" that I know. No, our house is quite spacious we could avoid each other if we wanted.
The definition of living in a grove is completely absurd because a Grove is a short story by Ryūnosuke Akutagawa; (please pronounce the name correctly) it first appeared in the January 1922 ... She was ashamed that she had been raped, and no longer wished to live, but she wanted him to die with her. He agreed, or so she believed. to living in the same house.
So far I don't want to die, so we still live peacefullyor not in the same house. In all other definition there is a dead body in the grove so we don't live in a grove either.
Synch doesn't exist but sync and means : If communication was lost between servers in a server group Our house is spacious but not enough to house a server group so that is also out of question.
I think the definitions of "balance" would fit the most because it says The marriage is a delicate balance between traditional and contemporary values..., ...the ecological balance of the forest. (whatever that means in our case 48 years).
2. What is it about somebody else's style of work (coworker/employee/shared volunteer project/household chore) that makes you crazy? Why?
Nothing makes me crazy because I avoid to look !
3. What's a tradition that always makes you feel at home?
To put on my slippers
4. A favorite song with a girl's name in the title or lyrics? Any reason why this is a particular favorite? I
There is a french song
"Aline" is a single by French singer Christophe. The song became one of the two big hits in France during the summer of 1965. It sold one million records. This was just the time when I went out dancing each weekend. Therefore here name reminds me a lot of very nice memories.
5. Share a favorite quote, verse, or saying relating to gratitude or thanksgiving.
As my ancestors stayed in Europe we don't celebrate thanksgiving by killing turkeys this we do at Christmas. I am not good in quotes but I found one which suits me :
Gratitude is the most exquisite form of courtesy.

THIS IS ALSO OUR WORLD
Looking out of the window I saw a strange brown spot. I went outside to see what it was !
Mushrooms and a lot !
I found them disgusting and it didn't come into my mind to eat them !
In another corner of the garden was this kind. They were so strong that they had pushed the flower pot aside ! I feared a mushroom invasion and asked Mr. G. to pull them out and throw them away before they would push our house I don't know where !
A classmate of my painting course has chicken ! And maybe because she is a painter the chicken think they must lay blue eggs (one turned green, but that's the camera and not the chicken) they tasted very good, it's very practical for Easter you don't have to paint your eggs.
These kois almost jumped out of the water and on me, they thought my camera was eatable ! I thought only cats are so greedy !
Speaking of cats, one, little Rosie when she has finished playing with her toy mice puts them in her food bowl. Unfortunately sometimes I also find a real mouse !

As so often during the week the weather is nice and as soon as it comes to Saturday it gets, cold, grey and rainy. My friend Bunny and I wanted to go to an exhibition of Aborigines art, but as the wind blew us almost away we stayed home and started to talk about our past and things we had forgotten or we didn't know from each other. Memories from 1961 until now take quite a while until updated ! We had a nice afternoon and it is so funny to notice that for the same event we had completely different memories !
Last Sunday we 3, Nicole, Myriam and I wanted to go to the movie and see the film Victoria and Abdul. We got the cards but no seats and went to see another movie. So this time we came very early, got our entrance cards and also good seats.
I was really very curious to see this film, as I had seen quite a lot of documentaries and photos of the real Victoria and also read several books. So I thought they would bring out things which nobody knew yet, and that only after such a long time can be revealed.
Therefore I was rather disappointed to discover a film which was named a "Drama" but I would call it rather a comical drama, because we had to laugh a lot. It was a film as we call it in French "à l'eau de rose" which means "mushy" a little too romantic. And as pure "coincidence" the film came out just in time talking about Muslim religion and even two phantoms in a burka were there. The wife and mother in law of Abdul.
I have to say that Dame Judy Dench is a wonderful actor and really played her role as if she was the Queen.
Victoria in real
and Judy as Victoria
The real Abdul
And Ali Fazal as Abdul
Honestly I preferred Ali to Abdul and found him very handsome, my friends too.
So instead of living an afternoon full of drama, we had one where we had a lot to laugh. Her son Bertie was not bad either !
One thing is for sure Victoria was a very intelligent and special woman ! Her statues are all over the UK, even in hidden corners !
After the cinema we had a glass together and then went home !
