HODGEPODGE FEBRUARY 26

 1. February 26th is National Tell A Fairy Tale Day...have you read a fairy tale lately? What's your favorite fairy tale? Do you believe in 'happily ever after'?

That's a century ago that I haven't read a fairy tale ! I have a boy, who had a lot of friends, and fairy tales didn't interest them at all !

When I was a child I read them all (I think) I would like to believe in "happily ever after" but sometimes the destiny decides otherwise.

2. Complete one of the following sentences with a thought relating to your life currently-

  • Once upon a time_I was a happily married woman
  • A long time ago I was a happy and funny girl who had everything coming to her._
  • In a place far away or not far away, everywhere

3. Which of the following 'fairy tale foods' is your favorite? Which have you made/eaten most recently?

porridge/oatmeal (Goldilocks and The Three Bears), an apple (Snow White), a gingerbread cookie (The Gingerbread Man), pumpkin soup/pie/bread (Cinderella), peas (The Princess and the Pea), beans (Jack and The Beanstalk) or a cup of tea (Alice in Wonderland)

an apple

4. What's your idea of fun? When something makes me laugh, when I went dancing, when I was traveling and meeting interesting and funny people

Next week's Hodgepodge lands in March. Is that right? I guess so.  Give us one noun, one verb, and one adjective that tell us something about your February. To make you think a little harder, you cannot use the words cold or snowy. Rain, hanging around, horrible

6. Insert your own random thought here.

My problem is that I don't know what I want ! One day I want to go in this hotel in Tunisia where the SPA was so wonderful, to relax with sea and sun ! The next day I hear that strikes are on airports and buses and tubes and then I would sit for I don't know how many hours blocked somewhere, or stay in my cozy cave and when the sun shines lie down somewhere in our park? I could also go to a swimming pool. Maybe we'll have a few hot days like last year or it will rain again until August. I think I'll stop thinking and see how things develop. As the saying goes, "Wait and see"!

  2. Sometimes, answering such questions can be quite depressing - not the objective, I'm sure.
