Oh! And l forgot to say...I have family living in La Louvière....Zio Lucio, 60yrs ago moved from Catania to La Louvière for work, he took his wife and 5 children..Only one child now survives, and that is Lina, and a few 2nd cousins..when my daughter was small, we used to fly to Brussels and spend a week with the family, mostly Sicilians lived in and around La Louvière back then.. Lina is the same age as me..and we still keep in touch..! :).
There are a lot of Italians in Belgium. They were exchanged against coal, awful story. My husband was from the Lake of Garda, we had many Italian friends of course. Now he passed away and we are all getting old !
