I live in Waterloo (Belgium) where Napoleon lost his battle. I am German, but have lived most of my life in Belgium. I was happily married for 54 years with an Italian, who was the love of my life. Now I am a widow.

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY
Preparation for the Waterloo battle, Napoleon against Wellington
I enjoy seeing folks in period clothing. The first time I'd ever seen anything like this I was 13. My family visited my aunt who lives near Williamsburg, Virginia. We walked around one the forts and everyone was dressed clothing from the late 1770s. That was really cool! Great captures! :)
I'm sure this was both enjoyable, educational, and sobering at the same time. Thank you for sharing at https://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2020/01/saints-among-us.html

I love how war re-enactors are fiends for authenticity. I don't want to be one though.
ReplyDeleteI love your header photo as well.
It's been a while since I saw a re-enactment. They're always interesting.
ReplyDeleteYes, I can appreciate how the re-enactors really get into it.
ReplyDeleteNice painting. I like the details.
