WEEKLY WINNERS - A British Store in Brussels

More participants here at Sarcastic Mom Weekly winners

A friend had told me that outside Brussels is a quiet big English store. The name of the place was Everberg and of course I had no idea where it was. I asked my Mrs. GPS and off we went. She directed me to the countryside !

When I arrived I really found myself in front of a Manor ! I had never seen such a store in my whole life. It really didn't look like a shop at all !

The two floor store

the name is correct !

Have you ever driven through a door like that to go shopping ?

The entrance

A telephone booth as decoration in the garden

and a friendly "Welcome" sign

even a "Manor" dog was there.

on the other side of the street was this big farm

and the geese couple greated me loudly

Poor guy, spring has not yet begun and he has already horns growing !

I bought delicious scones and sauce for Chili con Carne and some other things I don't get in a normal Belgian supermarket.

  1. What do they sell in there English stuff? I would have never thought it was a store. Looks more like a Ranch House or something. It's pretty. Great photos :)

  4. I wondered if they had the wonderful English mint sauce that goes so well with lamb. I went to Harrods in London one time and bought some there! Oh, it was fabulous!

  6. I really like other countries stores. In Toulon we have an irish store where you can find things you'd never find here. This manor is beautiful. The right atmosphere for a nice shopping. I posted today on my blog! Spring is in the air and this afternoon we have to vote again.
