This is Cookie the darling of my pet shop. He doesn't talk, but he listen to what I say and when I turned around and left he whistled behind me with admiration !! I was very flattered !

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY
This pretty parrot is sitting in a pet food store! He is very polite and says "Bonjour" to everyone (He can't speak English yet) and says "What a beautiful girl" even if it is a male, which makes people laugh and then the parrot is happy !

This is Coco the parrot of the animal shop where I buy Rosie's food. He doesn't speak, but he whistles when I turn around to go into another direction, like men used to do when I was younger !!

FRIDAY's FAVE FIVE - RANDOM 5 FRIDAY
1. Together with Ilona we visited our friend who had a hip surgery, and therefore can't get out of the house yet. As she is a very active woman, it's hard for her to stay home and is thankful for each visit. There is always something to discuss ! This time it was about Ilona's ex-husband who lost his mind at 72, he fell in love with a woman in her 50th which of course can happen, but not only he wants to marry her but also put all his money, shares etc on her name, sell his house, buy an apartment on her name too. All this so that his daughter doesn't get a penny. The stupid innocent guy is convinced that his beloved would give his son his share ! But what would happen if she runs away once she has all his money and he will be on the street ? That's the biggest worry of the two children, of course they don't want to pay a cent for such a "father", which anyway he never had been. The worst thing is, that this woman had done this before with her first husband ! A real soap ! And nobody can convince him to think it over he becomes even more stubborn, love makes blind !
2. For the first time since nearly a year I went to my Yoga class. It was nice to see all the people again and I noticed with pleasure, that I hadn't become rusty at all. It worked quite well.
The room has a metal and glass roof and the rain made a terrible noise, as if it was hail.
3. It was time again to buy cat food for my little monsters, I don't know if it is the winter but they really have a good appetite !
Cookie the parrot was sitting on his cage and tried to eat my camera when I took pictures of him, and then as usual whistled in admiration behind me when I left. Yes, time goes by, in the past it was men who whistled, today it's a parrot.
4. My friend Chantal came for a visit, she was very excited, she will go on a holiday in Dubai ! Her son's friend works there and they can have his apartment while he is in Belgium. She also found somebody to take care of her husband who is still laying in his bed like an empty shell, he has to be fed and washed, he doesn't recognize anything anymore, doesn't speak, he just is like a living corpse after a car accident 7 years ago ! What a terrible burden, but Chantal takes it easy and she really deserves these holidays, as she can never be absent for a couple of days, she always has to find somebody for her husband.

I bought a new panel for the little table which I use as my desk. It is bigger and I have more room. As I am a real zero when it comes to craftsmen skills, Ilona came over and checked the wooden panel and what painting would be needed. By pure coincidence I had bought the right wood, and she will come and paint it for me next week. She is a real genius, she can do everything in a house, from plumbing to paper a room, painting, laying parquet etc etc. She really doesn't need a man !
Nevertheless she asked Mr. G to help her to measure her car, as she needs a car cover to protect it from the rain. The car had been repaired recently but becomes still a little wet inside through the roof. While I tried to find the right one by googeling on Internet.

FRIDAY's FAVE FIVE - RANDOM 5 FRIDAY
1. After Aqua Gym on Monday where everybody left well equipped with bras and underpants and nobody missed anything, I went to "Tom & Co" which is a food store for animals. I needed cat food for my always hungry cat family.
The star of the shop is Cookie the parrot. He likes to chat and I too, so first thing was to say hello to him. We chatted for a while, he says all kind of funny words, and when I left he whistled behind me like men do when they see an attractive woman. I thought, how times have changed, in the past men whistled behind me and now a parrot. That's life !
2. I always complain about the wet and rainy weather we have in Belgium. In fact my blog should be completely wet. To comfort myself I just took my car and went to my favorite Indian store
and you can see it here when I arrived.
I bought this little case for my new camera and was happy that the elephant and my camera had the same color. Sometimes little things can make your day.
3. I had moved my desk from behind my bed to the window and was quite satisfied with the result. It made my room bigger. But still it didn't look as I would have wanted. The little table I had put on my desk so that the screen was at eye level, disturbed me.

and then suddenly I had an idea ! why didn't I put my chair lower ? I only had to pull on the level ! I did ! Now it looks much better and I also can observe what is going on in the street, some kind of neighbor watch ! When I think that it took meonly 6 years to find out that I only had to adjust my desk chair !
4. To free Mr. G. of my constant presence (the life of a retired couple) I escaped to my friend Ilona. There we chatted about forthcoming holidays together, and the world in general. We also talked about the French president's love affair and found ridiculous what a mess the press tried to make about it. After all he is not married and even if he were, what have politics to do with his private life ? Nobody has first ladies here in Europe, and in Belgium it would even be rather funny we would have a first Sir, as our prime minister is homosexual. Nobody cares, he is an excellent politician and that is what counts. Fortunately that was the opinion of the French too.
5. We had a visit from a photographer of the local Newspaper in our painting class, who took picture of us while we were busy painting our master pieces ! I was just busy to finish mine,
and when I took this picture I didn't realize that behind my painting was a shopping bag with an advertising of a "Domestic Art" exhibition, which is not at all the same as it was all about food !
In the afternoon I drove my neighbor to the hospital to Brussels, where she got her monthly shot in one eye, as usual it was hard to find a parking space and we arrived rather wet !

FRIDAY's FAVE FIVE

1. The days are coming and going and it seems to me that a week is just like a pearl necklace, each day looks the same ! Even my activities, like each Monday going to aqua gym in the morning and then having a cup of tea together and chatting, which of course has different themes. Lots of people have the flew or a cold and the City's babysitter service is fully booked as the babies are sick have to stay at home while the parents have to go to work. Not everybody has a grandma at disposal.
2. Now we are 3 to go to Yoga, Dominique as usual but my other neighbor Vivi has decided to join in and she likes it very much. I booked my trip around the UK and now I got the confirmation and it's done ! The rest of the day I was looking at pictures of all places we will visit !
Preparing a trip is nearly as much fun then doing it !
3. My friend Nicole had internet connection troubles with her laptop, and as she has no internet at home she always goes to the internet service organized by the city with 9 computers to be used by the citizens who don't have a computer or don't have Internet. But she wanted to use her own computer. I picked her up and we had lunch together in our little Greek restaurant and afterwards she came with me to fix her internet connection. It turned out that a piece was broken and she had to buy a USB key for WiFi.
4. Although our house is not a castle, some people loose their orientation sense and always end up in my storage room instead of the toilet. While I was taking off my shoes in the basement she went upstairs, and found herself nose to nose with brooms, vacuum cleaner, handbags etc instead of the toilet, and on her left Mr. G. was
5. No birthday to celebrate this time in my painting course, but our coffee break was as cheerful as usual
One of my classmates took these pictures while we were working very hard !
On my way back it started to snow again, but it didn't last it's not cold enough. No regret ! I have really enough of snow and winter.
I stopped at my pet food store and said hello to Cookie, the parrot of the shop's owner. He greeted me with loud whistles and was very intrigued by my camera. On the last picture I just had time to go one step back he wanted to bite in my camera ! He is a very funny boy !
