Sad, a policeman in London told me the dogs are sometimes drugged to keep them quiet. I always give money and say it is for the dogs. I hope they get it. The Romanian beggars in London seem only to have toy (stuffed) dogs. I haven't seen anyone begging with dogs in Australia (yet) but I'm sure it will start one day.
I see soo many homeless people these days that it is getting scary especially with the word going around that the middle class is being destroyed. They need their dogs to protect them at night. Our generation is getting old but the new one will have its hands full and this worries me.
Oh, this is heartbreaking, Gattina. So sad.
