WEEKEND

Every Friday a committee meets to decide on our lockdown fate.

which makes me think of a "déjà vu"

After checking all the numbers from top to bottom and the fact that people dared to travel to other countries for the school holidays, the number of coronavirus affected has dropped.

So it was generously allowed to reopen the driving schools ! That was of course nice for the young people but less so for the rest of the population who finally want hairdressers and restaurants to open. The general mood here is accordingly.

A part from hanging around while I couldn't even go outside because of heavy fog and humidity, I moved the content of 2020 in my computer to my back up and created new folders in the hope they would be filled with cheerful NEW photos ! So the day went by like all the others.

The houses have disappeared

On Sunday it was freezing for the first time and the grass wasn't green anymore but white. In the afternoon we went to Nicole  to eat the "Merveilleux" which her cousin a former baker had made for us.

They were delicious !

Poor Isis was disappointed that we ate a cake and not a mouse !

We had a nice afternoon and made plans for when the lockdown finally would end !  When you can't do anything at all, not even have a cup of coffee in a café, then you get more and more modest !

  1. Is the Swarovski cat yours? Very nice.

We had severe lock down for 12 weeks. We generally obeyed and over the next few weeks we were slowly freed up. It only needs to be done once and hard to reduce numbers to where they can be quickly traced and contacts quarantined. Borders need to be nearly closed and all arrivals go into supervised quarantine, and as we have recently discovered, also airline staff. It is short term pain for long term gain. While we are a little restricted because of a small outbreak from overseas, this is just for a few weeks.

  2. So lovely to see the lace dolls. I am fed up with the lockdown too but at least we are safe.

  3. It really is time for the world to open up again. We are lucky we haven't have much lockdown with things closed and have a lot of freedom but we still miss having things the way they used to be.

  4. ן've been to Brugges many years ago, and have nice memories of the place.
The fog in your pictures resembles the fog we have lately in our neck of the woods. Interesting side of climate change.

  6. The dolls and the cats are adorable.

We stay home most of the time too. I miss going out to eat as you do. Getting your hair and nails done is a luxury that we all miss. Difficult times indeed. I'm glad you're well.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, Gattina. ♥

  8. Where we live there are restaurants open with outdoor seating. Which is fabulous for the owners and the customers! Your photos of the cats are cute! Have a lovely week!
