In the middle of Waterloo is a very beautiful park. Once there had been a castle there, which had been demolished in the 70th, and even with my Mrs. Marple/Sherlock Holmes skills, I couldn't find a single picture of this castle on Internet !

The only building which the city found interesting enough to keep were the old stables ! It was renovated and transformed into an exhibition hall.

The statues were added a couple of years ago

Painters and Sculptors are exposing here

The park is a nice place to walk around

We did it on a Sunday morning

There is also a playground for children

and lots of benches to rest. The trees showed their first signs of autumn

Grandson Toby had a lot of fun

It had been the last summery weekend in the middle of October.

I am so annoyed. Waterloo was in the news here recently and I thought I must tell Gattina, and now I have forgotten what it was about. The park looks lovely. So soon the trees will be bare.

It looks like you had a wonderful, sunny weekend. The park looks beautiful. Pity the castle was pulled down.

Too bad to lose history like that (If you can't find it nobody can that's for sure!)

The park is beautiful however -- and don't those kind of beautiful October days make you want to bottle them up so you can take them out in the middle of January!

Beautiful park to enjoy daily. I guess the leaves are changing colours by now.
You must post a winter picture of it next. :)

Still lots of green around in the park. Whatever new tech toys the kids have they still love a walk in the park and playing on the swings.
