For three days I was looking for my car keys. Everywhere in the whole house, even in the fridge. Meanwhile I had to drive with my spare keys. After having investigated my purse for the third time at least, I finally turned it over and the whole
When I went to my Acqua Gym class, I suddenly realized that I had left my bag with underwear and towel and shower cream at home. Fortunately I had my bathing suit on, they lent me a towel and I returned home without underpants and bra. Except me, who felt a little naked under my clothes, nobody noticed.
I arrived in my painting class and had no purse ! Very annoying because I was without mobile, and had a meeting with a friend for lunch. But I had my painting stuff with me, left a little earlier hurried home, picked up my purse and was in time to meet my friend.
Apparently I am not the only one, because another classmate had forgotten her canvas, and the second one her painting brushes and colors. I was a bit comforted !
Often I find myself in the basement and don't know what I wanted there ! So I return into the kitchen and suddenly I remember ! I go down again. This keeps me fit.
Just let me know if you experience the same sometimes, which would reassure me that I am not alone !
OMW you echo so many times that I lose things. You are not alone. I have lost car keys (never to be found again!), clothing (in my cupboard) front door keys (the only one we have!) and many other things. At the moment I am looking for the medical aid folder which I know I put somewhere in a safe place, LOL! I also go into a room, forget what I went for, return to where I started and remember! Apparently this is to do with entering a doorway. It removes your memory of that specific time and when you go back through it, your memory returns. Hmmm. Hope you're having a great day. (((Hugs))) Jo
ReplyDeleteWe are always looking for misplaced items in our home. It's a common state, we worry when we think we know where everything is!
ReplyDeleteWhen Mr M went hiking for a week with friends last September, I realized he had left a pair of hiking boots...but two different ones. I thought "He didn't..." He did: he took two different boots to make a pair, they looked like a pair to him when he packed...
ReplyDeleteYou are not alone. I can never remember where I put something in a safe place. I have heard that idea that Jo mentions about walking into a new room removes the memory of the old room. Talking to yourself helps. "I have shut the garage door" is what I have to say when I do it so that I don't get to the end of the street and wonder if I remembered to shut the door.
ReplyDeleteOh, you're not alone! I lost my keys once and found them again three months (!) later. In my bag. Where I had put them...
ReplyDeleteWhen I go shopping I know what I have to buy. Then when I get there I forget.I come home without buying the things I went there for. lol
ReplyDeleteGuess every one is the same. lol
Oh no (LOL) it never happens to me -- I never lose things, I just forget where I put them ;>)!!!!! And also the thing I seem to do a lot is to open the refrigerator and then stand there with no idea at all of what I wanted in there.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has been going through a phrase like that. She covered up her purse with a coat the other day and was running all over trying to find it. (And she's just a young thing, compared to me anyway).
