WHERE IS ...... ?

Children search for eggs at Easter, I celebrate Easter the whole year and especially in the last two weeks.

For three days I was looking for my car keys. Everywhere in the whole house, even in the fridge. Meanwhile I had to drive with my spare keys. After having investigated my purse for the third time at least, I finally turned it over and the whole junk things which it contained dropped on the kitchen table and .... also my keys !!

When I went to my Acqua Gym class, I suddenly realized that I had left my bag with underwear and towel and shower cream at home. Fortunately I had my bathing suit on, they lent me a towel and I returned home without underpants and bra. Except me, who felt a little naked under my clothes, nobody noticed.

I arrived in my painting class and had no purse ! Very annoying because I was without mobile, and had a meeting with a friend for lunch. But I had my painting stuff with me, left a little earlier hurried home, picked up my purse and was in time to meet my friend.

Apparently I am not the only one, because another classmate had forgotten her canvas, and the second one her painting brushes and colors. I was a bit comforted !

Often I find myself in the basement and don't know what I wanted there ! So I return into the kitchen and suddenly I remember ! I go down again. This keeps me fit.

Just let me know if you experience the same sometimes, which would reassure me that I am not alone !

DISTRACTION DISEASE

I don't know if I suffer from "Distraction disease" or if I am distracted. Anyway both are right for me. It isn't even due to my old age and diminishing brain, no, I have always been distracted.

Already in school when whatever class didn't interest me (which was mostly the case), I rather admired the cobweb on the ceiling or a dirty spot on the collar of a classmate. Once I had to break into my own car in the middle of the Grand'Place in Brussels, because I had left the key inside but locked the door. I used the metal end of my comb to lift up the lock while people were standing around to admire my work but nobody asked me if the car was mine. I think I was 23 at that time.

The worst thing which ever happens according to Mr. G. was when I was looking for my slippers. We were married for 2 or 3 years and he didn't know yet the severity of my "distraction disease". He finally found them in the fridge, I don't know how they landed up there, probably I wanted to put some food in, because I don't like cold slippers.

Sometimes I arrive in a room and stand there not remembering why I am standing here like a statue. Then I go back where I came from and then suddenly I know again why ... or not.

Looking for my glasses and car keys is normal. I always put them in the same place, and it's not my fault that the place changes all the time. Mr. G. with the time has become a kind of Sherlock Holmes he always find them.

The reason why I write this post is, because I had a pair of earrings in my hand, saw some pieces of dry cat food on the floor, picked them up, threw the earrings out of the window and wanted to put the pieces in my jewelry box.

I will keep you informed if I find them in the gravel in front of our house, because Mr. G. is out of work he has a cold.

ARE YOU DISTRACTED ?

While decoration the tables with flowers when we prepared our painting exhibition, I was looking several times for my camera, because I deposed it somewhere, was interrupted and then couldn't find it anymore. That's why suddenly we started to talk about being distracted.

After some hilarious stories of looking for car keys and finally found them in the basement amongst the potatoes, and slippers put into the fridge, the best one was of my classmate Michèle. She had to go to the vet with her dog, had thoroughly looked for all the papers, the leash, her purse and off she went with dog Toulouse to the vet. When she arrived she assembled her things, took the leash, opened the back door and asked Toulouse to get out. There was no Toulouse, she had left him alone and stand there feeling stupid with the leash in her hand and no dog attached to it ! She informed the vet, drove home, picked up already waiting Toulouse who probably wondered why the leash went without him and returned to the vet.

SMILEY SATURDAY -

Lately I noticed that I am terribly distracted ! This morning I nearly put 10 (!!!) sweeteners in my coffee, I just could stop it at 3 because I realized that I counted until 10.

The last days I also was looking desperately after my glasses. Once I found them on the toilet lid in the bathroom. My cat Athur just sat in the tube and looked so funny that I thought it would be nice to take a picture. When I finally had found my camera of course not where I thought it would be, Arthur was gone.

In my painting course I went with my easel to the toilet instead of my bowl which I wanted to fill with water for my acrylic painting. More than once I went to the basement and when I arrived I didn't know anymore why I went there !

I think these are all spring signs !

Now I am going to the station to pick up Diane a blog friend who comes to Brussels together with her husband Rennie and this will be the first time I meet a Blog friend life !!

I am sure we will have more than a smily saturday !!
