******

This is my land and nobody is allowed to walk near me and even less to sit down !

I don't know if it is her usual mess or if she thinks I need a lamp to eat, anyway the lamp is there !

As I am a princess I don't know from which land, I need several layers to be comfortable in my sleep !

HODGEPODGE

1. What pets did you have while growing up? Tell us a little something about them.

I was an only child, had no pets not even a goldfish. My father had declared that pets are a burden and unsanitary. I took my revenge when I lived of my own by adopting a cat, later another cat and a dog, a guinea pig and I kept the school rapid during holidays ! And I still have 3 cats !

2. What is one thing you absolutely must accomplish today?

"Absolutely" doesn't exist in my vocabulary today, except cooking.

3. Where were you ten years ago? What were you doing there?

Thanks to my blog I can tell you exactly what I have done 10 years ago at this day ! I was at home and wrote for a meme called "Thursday Thirteen" what I wrote was this "13 Findings about men"

4. September 26th is National Dumpling Day. Did you celebrate? Apple dumpling, xiao long bao (steamed Chinese dumpling), chicken and dumplings, pirogi, matzoh balls, or gnocchi...which dumpling on this list would be your dumpling of choice? Have you ever made homemade dumplings of any kind?

You have a lot of national days ! Even for Dumplings ! I like dumplings together with goulash or gnocchis from my husband's region in Italy

5. 'There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find an adventure and those who go secretly hoping they don't.' William Trogdon

So which kind are you?

Real adventure of course (not with a man !) ! Otherwise life would be even more boring.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

That's the most difficult part of the meme, the random thoughts ! Each time I read this sentence my head is empty ! Maybe I should use this method for relaxing exercise

  1. Great random thought! And yes absolutely is not in the retired person's vocabulary. (Although I absolutely have to do ironing today because it is starting to multiply out of control lol.) Lovely pics of your cats. Hope your eye is healing well.

  2. I agree: absolutely doesn't exist for me either. I love your kitties as usual and the thughts when you're supposed to be relaxing.

  3. Expensive hair salon. I had my hair cut today for $17, less than £8.50. The photo with your white cat, is that extra heating or in an area where there is not central heating?

  4. Gattina,

The kitty on the folded sweater looks so uncomfortable but yet it seems purrfectly content to sleep where it is. Animals are so funny! I enjoyed reading your Hodgepodge answers. I need to get mine done. I will share them tomorrow, though. Thanks for sharing and please feel free to join me on not-so Wordless Wednesday!

  7. I love the yoga thoughts. They are exactly what swirls through my brain all day long but I really notice them during yoga.

And the cats. I used to have them. I miss them. Thanks for sharing yours with me, and without the additional responsibility.

  18. I know I've told you this before but your black cat makes me fondly remember my cat Sticktail (lost part to a coyote). He was a stray so we don't know what kind he was. Do you know what kind your black cat is? - Margy

  19. The cartoon is so funny -- and so true for me (well, not the exact same thoughts, but close enough.... .

Your cats (their Royal Highnesses are so cute)... you definitely made up for your pet-free childhood!!

  20. Ok. Let me see if I can get through these...

    1. What pets did you have while growing up? Tell us a little something about them.
My parents were dog lovers, thank God! First there was a dog, Mia, a Shepard. Then later, 2 more dogs, a mutt, Snoodle (Scnnauzer/poople mix) and Fifi, renamed Phoebe, a Poodle. Later a cat. Sunshine. Who hated me and ran away.

    2. What is one thing you absolutely must accomplish today?
Today is over. So I will blog! Yay!

    3. Where were you ten years ago? What were you doing there?
In a pretty unhappy marriage with 2 kids. I still have the kids. No husband. I'm happy now.

    4. September 26th is National Dumpling Day. Did you celebrate?
Nope. Cutting down on the carbs. I had a filet with a nice Cabernet instead!

    5. 'There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find an adventure and those who go secretly hoping they don't.' William Trogdon
Sometimes I am a bit of both. I live it day by day. Moment by moment.

    6. Insert your own random thought here.
Give your life over to God, and relax!
