SKYWATCH - FRIDAY's FAVORITE FIVE - FIVE ON FRIDAY

1. This week was nice and relax. I felt in holiday mood, it was so warm that I could live outside ! Which I did. I carried all my stuff, computer, cables, mousepad etc outside and put it on the big table under the pergola. There it is always shady and a little wind blowing. I did my posts and noticed that I was very much behind with my photos to be put in different folders, in short my computer was a mess !

Mr. G's dark neutral umbrella makes shade for the screen, my umbrellas are light with flowers ! In my "outside" living room we also use to play scrabble when it's warm.

Try to sort out all the pictures and put them in folders !!

2. The next day it was the same and I continued while purring with my cats in the blue sky. In the afternoon Nicole came, it was too hot on her terrace and she didn't want to be locked in she too appreciates light and sunshine. And while we chatted and talked about our smartphones and the progress I had made discovering more and more apps, she uses her smartphone only as a phone, without internet. I told her that she has the same facilities with her phone as with her tablet, but there was nothing to do, for the moment a phone is a phone and a tablet a tablet, I had already managed with some effort that she can use the tablet ! we had a nice afternoon.

3. I still had some toys from my grandson when he was a toddler, and they took space in the garden shed. I put them all together and went to the charity shop in favour for battered women. They are always happy when they get nearly new toys. One of it was quiet noisy when I brought it in, it played music and horned and people laughed.

My cat Arthur should make a selfie ! But he wasn't in the mood. He probably found it funny that I crawled behind him under the kitchen table and hold the smartphone in front of his nose. The result is not that good but still.

4. As usual hot weather never lasts long and so it was this time too, from 30°C we dropped to 15°C after a terrible rain. It rained so strongly that I had to close the shutters I thought the drops would break the glass, I could hardly see my neighbor's house on the other side of the street, and the street looked like a stream !

Fortunately I had just prepared my outside "living room" for the night and had taken everything in, nothing was damaged. But my neighbor had water in her basement and there were other regions badly flooded. Nothing in comparison to Texas of course, these poor people, what a disaster.

5. As usual we had our scrabble group, one was missing but was replaced by Tosca the black dog, not a devil at all. She was not so interested in our scrabble game but in the cookies which were served later with the coffee. I lost, so next time I must win ! It was a very pleasant afternoon this time in Mireille's apartment. Mireille although half blind won again ! She really is amazing !

  1. Rather amazing clouds in the sky. Poor Arthur with you stalking him with a camera lens. You know it is twenty years since Princess Diana died after being pursued by photographers. The thermometer is very interesting.

  4. Wow, wonderful cloud formation there. LOL on Arthur, cats never do what you want them to do especially when it comes to photos. He is lovely though, we have two Siamese ones. Hope you have a great weekend:)

  7. I love the collage. What wonderful memories! I think Arthur did a great selfie. My kitties are not very cooperative, either, when I try to take selfie together :-)
Beautiful photos of the sky. Happy September!

  8. I love Arthur's selfie!
I make a lot of photos, too. My computer sorts them by date taken, so that is the way I leave them. Though I do move the ones I plan to use on my blog to a separate place.
    Have a great week-end!

  10. Sounds like a very pleasant week! Glad you got all your stuff in before the rain. When I first got my phone, I wasn't sure how much I would use it for other things, but I have quite a few apps on it now. I like being able to jot down things I want to remember in the Notes section and set reminders for myself.

  11. Sometimes cats don't want to be very photogenic! :-) Love your mosaics of shots.

  12. Do you store all your photos on the internet? I tend to delete mine once I have used what I need for blogging. My favourite ones are stored on memory cards but I take so many that I am quite ruthless when it comes to deleting them. I had to laugh at you chasing the cat to try and get a good photo. We needed someone else there to take a photo of you trying to photograph the cat. LOL

Your week sounds like a great time--scrabble, sitting on the patio.
    Have a great weekend!

  16. These past weeks you've been sharing about your scrabble games. The desire to play a word game grew and grew. Until finally I said something to my daughter. I couldn't find my game box, but she was able to make up paper boards so we could play Boggle

I love your outdoor living room. It is a great way to expand your space.

The selfie with your cat made me smile. He didn't look amused by the photo adventure.

    Have a good week.

  17. At least you got outside to enjoy the good weather while it lasted! Love the idea of an outdoor living room, especially since you can quickly bring it in when you need to (I am used to changeable weather too).... I'm sorry that your neighbor got her basement flooded, but as you say, nothing like Texas -- what a terrible mess. It breaks my heart. And I am sadly afraid the world is in for a lot more such climate change events.

  19. Nice sky pictures. You cracked me up with your pics of Arthur. The things you will do. LOL. We need rain so bad here where we are. Everything is tinder dry and most cities are under a fire ban. Ours has been under one for weeks now. They said it would have to rain steady for 3 days for them to lift the ban. There are so many forest fires that the air quality was at a very bad 9 (out of 10 the other night). It was actually hard to breath outside. Too bad we couldn't have "borrowed" some your rain.
