A WALK THROUGH THE WATERLOO MARKET

For the first time since weeks I could go for a walk on the Waterloo market which takes place each Sunday morning. The sky was still grey but it wasn't cold and it didn't rain or snowed. So most of the stalls were present.

There were quiet a lot of people and even furniture on display.

Lots of people love eating snails so there were two stalls. This one for take away and

at the other one you could eat a portion of snails with a glass of white wine

Moroccan and Turkish take away were present too

ham

The classical Sunday meal is a roasted chicken. Lots of people buy it already roasted and take it home, it's delicious.

Several cheese stalls were there too

and of course a big variety of vegetables and fruits.

The first flowers to be planted and also outside decorations were on sale

Artichokes, and mimosas from the French Provence, the symbol of women (as it was written on the sign)

Natural oils and watches

old and new books

I ended my walk with looking at bonnets, scarfs, suitcases, handbags and clothes.

  4. How good to be able to get out and about again. The sun is shining here today so I will be exploring in Kent. The market looks a wonderful place to visit. I need to buy some plants and redo my hanging baskets and patio pots. Those vegetables look so fresh and the smell of those roasting chickens is too much to resist.
