Happy May Day !
Today is a holiday here in Belgium, in most of the other European countries and throughout the world. It's called Labour day, or May Day. May Day commonly sees organized street demonstrations and street marches by millions of working people and their labour unions.
In Belgium it is also use to offer lilies of the valley to family, friends, and neighbours.
As it is a labour day, I decided to be lazy and not work. The shops are closed and the city empty. A friday off invites for a long weekend and go away.
The only new thing I have to show are these three cats. I got them for Easter from Mr. Gattino who probably thought that I talk, see and hear too much and offered me this as a reminder.

ReplyDeleteLove those wise cats, too! My friend got a 1-month tiny cat and went with her to the vet after our gym class yesterday. Yes, the kitty joined us for some Pilates but he slept most of the time.
Cute, cute and more cute....Mr. Gattino is a definite keeper!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe have Labor Day here but our holiday is on Monday. What a nice tradition to give lillies of the valley. They match the cat. Mr G's present is cute and I think he might be giving you a message.
ReplyDeleteAwwww... that Mr. G spoils you so well! My sister used to collect See/Hear/Speak No Evil figurines. I wonder if she still has them... Those kitties are cute! Enjoy your "day off" today! When do you dance around the May Pole?
