FUN MONDAY

more participants here at Molly

Robin asked us as assignment : tell us about a happy memory from your childhood. If you have pictures, please show us your pictures.

It's sad to say but since a few days I rack my brain to remember a happy memory of my childhood, but really nothing special comes into my mind. It's also a very long time ago, but that is not a reason, happy moments you always remember.

I spent part of my childhood with my grandparents until I was 6 and then with my parents. But besides playing with my friends, going to school and upset my teachers, nothing really special happened. I had my gifts every birthdays and Christmas and always what I wanted so there was no surprise either. Now trying to remember, it seems to me that my childhood was like a long quite river with no rocks. I can't even remember that I had been especially happy or unhappy at one moment, the years just went by and I grew up.

Real nice and unforgettable happy memories came much later when I was around 20.

Photobucket

I found a photo it was probably taken at Carnaval, because I have a costume. But really I don't remember where and when. I am the 3rd from the left with the white stockings.

Thank you for playing this week's Fun Monday. You have made an interesting comparison of your childhood being like long quite river with no rocks. I am glad that you do have "real nice and unforgettable happy memories" even if they are after your childhood.
Great picture.

I think I need to stick my pencil in your thoughts and write my way out. I bet together we could find them.

've written a few stories over the past few years of some of my vivid memories. But, the rest of them are like yours - hidden, forgotten, or just copied over like an old CD.

Well at least you've got the hot Italian husband! :D That's all the memory you need. Speaking of Italians, my daughter in Italy has met an Italian boy that she likes very much. She says he is a good dancer.

The carnival photo is very cute. A childhood with no ripples has got to be happy :)

I suppose no real memories is better than a lot of rotten memories! You were adorable - that's for sure!

In a way it is kind of sad that you don't have a special happy memory but I guess it is ok to have no rocks. So when we going to the the happy memory from your 20's?

aw, you look so cute in your costume,...you were probably a late bloomer when it comes to an exciting childhood. you must have had it so calm during your growing years that's why you decided to make it a bit exciting when you got older. i do remember some of your posts from your 20's :)

Do you know, I think I would have liked my childhood to be a river with no rocks!

And then, all of a sudden something triggers them off, like taking pictures in a place where you grew up! I like the picture!

You were so cute. And I love how you described how you felt as 'a long quiet river with no rocks.' That was a brilliant way to put it.

Hi Gattina....I'm a day behind in visiting, I know! Things just got real busy here at our house, and I found no extra time to drop by and visit!!

I love the photo!! Sounds like you had a rich life tho...even if you can't remember anything 'special' in your younger days!!! I love the costumes in the photo!!!

Hope your Fun Monday was a good one...and I hope your Tuesday is treating you well also.

Hugs.......

Memories are interesting things. I'm glad that as you got older you made memories to look back on and smile.
