Rayne thinks that, almost everyone keeps things that others would consider junk. Twist ties, used wrapping paper, etc. What thing or things do you hang on to, and why? Or, if you are one of those super organized and practical people and don't hang on to things like that, do you have a collection that you would like to share with us?
I don't keep old stuff, not anymore ! I used to do it for years but now I don't care about these things anymore. I have some old things in our attic from my son, which I keep if ever I am becoming grandma. All the rest is given or thrown away. That doesn't mean that I am a super organizer or especially practical, that depends for what. I like it a little messy so that people can see that I am living in this house and that it is not there as a decoration.
But I have a collection and a quite big one. There must be more than 400 pieces by now and guess what ? CATS ! in all form and shapes.
Here they are (sorry for those who have seen this already, but these pictures I have taken this morning, it is the latest edition !)
When I open the housedoor you will see this :
The cats in the entrance
in the kitchen
in the living room
in the library
and in my room
As I have more pictures I made this slide show :
Now you know what gifts I get for every occasion !
OH!!! I LOVE your cat collection!!! I have a few as well; but not nearly as many. Daughter has a small cat salt and pepper shaker collection, and I have a few cats in my office at work. One of my favorites is a wooden carving of a cat laying down I got from Old Quebec city when I visited last year.
ReplyDeleteLove yours!
well I'm jealous of your collection and throwin a little "HISSY" fit here. ha ha ha.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing your solid cats.
Loved seeing the latest edition of your feline collection!!
ReplyDeleteYou need a cat-phone to complete the picture :)
I envy you for such a cool collection of cats! I should start collecting a particular thing ... hmmm.... money, houses, hunks....
ReplyDeleteOh...wow...that is a huge collection. I´m deeply impressed, Gattina !!!
ReplyDeleteOnce I collected Cats too but since I moved to my husband 18.years ago no more. I have some cats in my living room and a few on the attics room.
WOW - that's alot of cats!! but all very beautiful
ReplyDeleteThats a lot of cats - any idea eaxctly how many you have??
ReplyDeleteGattina, Gattina....I would so love to just walk around and see ALL your cat collection. It all looks so whimsical and so fun.
ReplyDeleteDo you realize how easy you've made it for people to get you a gift they know you'll like? And with a collection like that, I'll bet you're starting to get cats given to you "just because" someone saw it and thought you needed it for your collection. That is so cool!
ReplyDeleteYou have some cool looking cats. :) My daughter has a few cat things because of her nick name.
ReplyDeleteWOW! That is a lot of cats. i want to know how you counted them all!
ReplyDeleteCats! Now that is a wonderful theme.
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful collection :)
ReplyDeleteGattina - I never tire of seeing your cat collection - it is such a great one and I always see some that I have not seen before - or don't remember anyway! It is so impressive!
ReplyDeleteI can not think of ANY big city near where I am at.... But Ocean City, MD is on the map quite clearly on it's own! It is just below Fenwick Island, Delaware.... and just above Assateague Island -- which I am not sure if it is considered Maryland or Virginia...
Love your post a comment! Funny~but true! Just wondering if you were going to do the Halloween Headers again this year? I love Halloween and I would love to try a header! Thanks Jodee i dont know why it doesnt have a place for my google id either?
ReplyDeletewell it did! LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful collection. So many unique and interesting pieces!
ReplyDeleteOh don't tell me about collecting rubbish; I'm an expert. Your house is lovely BTW!
ReplyDeleteYes! And you even got me to look for cats when we're out and then I'm thinking of you. This one would you like... and so. Crazy me. *giggles*
ReplyDeleteI do love your cat collection!!
ReplyDeleteYour posts are more and more beautiful with such nice pictures and explanations! I realize how great is your collection in diversity and number.
Miaou!
Wow, you have some really cool pieces in your collection! When I first brought Bailey home (she was a stray) my mom started buying me cat stuff and I had to tell her to stop. I just didn't have the room and honestly, she wasn't buying stuff as whimsical and fun as your collection!
ReplyDeleteI love all the cats! That is a great collection!
ReplyDeleteWow that's a lot of cats. My aunt had a similar thing with cows. Everybody gave her cows for everything.
ReplyDeleteI just want to come to your house and look at all your neat stuff. And your cool cats. I'm sure they are a pain to dust, though!
ReplyDeleteDo you like cats, Gattina?
ReplyDeleteWait...don't tell me...let me guess...hmmm I think you collect cat things. I love them!
ReplyDeleteLol *laughing at your comments comment*
ReplyDeleteI love your cat collection. They are gorgeous! Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home!
Did you call me a hamster?! *Snicker*
i don't think your cat collection could be topped!
ReplyDeleteI prefer your collection of cats over the one my neighbors had when I was growing up. They had live cats, tons of them and they smelled horribly!
