SUNDAY SELECTION

As a cat fan I am not so interested in birds. I mean I like to see them flying around and chirping but I prefer the big ones to the little ones ! Besides magpies, no other names come into my mind, but a bird I really like are the owls ! They have such cute faces and the fact that they can turn around their heads completely, is amazing ! Unfortunately I can't do it I have to turn my neck !

Each time I see owls I take pictures and as we are still prisoners I digged in my Google pictures and found a few, which I have seen on different occasions.

Don't ask me the name of the species, because for me they are all owls. I especially love the last one because it looks exactly as I feel !

MY CATS AND OWLS

From the first time I saw an owl in a zoo I don't remember where, I fell in love with these birds. They looked in my opinion,  exactly as my cat Rosie, they have the same huge eyes.

I also found that owls have the same expression as a human and I could have observed these animals for hours ! I also was impressed that owls don't need eyes in the back of their heads to see what's behind them — they can just swivel their heads all the way around. In fact, many owl species, can rotate their heads 270 degrees in each direction, which means they can look to the left by rotating all the way to the right, or vice versa ! That made me jealous, I wished I could do that too, but I could try as long as possible it never worked. It would have been so practical to cross a main street, or even more interesting for neighbor watch, I could be a private detective, or when I was in school easily see what others wrote ! What a dream !

When I visited a Farmer's fest in the UK there were many owls. I didn't want to go elsewhere, I just wanted to observe these amazing animals.

WEEKLY WINNERS

More participants here at Sarcastic Mom

THE weekly winner was when I discovered cat Arthur on the 3rd floor of the unfinished house behind our garden ! When he saw me he screamed a loud meauw !

Arthur the inspector of unfinished work

then he catched this poor bird. The funniest thing was, shortsighted as I am I took the picture without seeing the bird in his mouth !

On Saturday I went to a medieval festival in a castle I had never been.

For those who are on diet after winter, there were sausages as temptations

I met chevaliers and knights

and also attended a fashion show from the 13th til 14th century

I admired a guy with an owl which had such a funny and cute face (the owl not the guy)

petted this python

and the soft skin of this albino python.

and saw also falcons

I will write and show more about this castle "château de Corroy on Tuesday in "My World"
