AWWWW MONDAY - WEEKEND SEPTEMBER 17

Linking to AWWW MONDAYS

***********

What a weekend ! Everything went wrong. When I got up in the morning, I saw that my mobile phone and tablet were still connected to the power and wanted to take them out. I managed to do that without any difficulties, but I don't understand what happened next. Suddenly I lost my balance and fell backwards with a big "boom" on my head and then lay there on my back. I stayed put for a while and then tried to get up. After I don't know how many time, I finally managed to get on all fours and crawled to the back of the sofa. Then I sat down and waited again, reading Facebook. I thought my whole insides were a mess. After a while I was able to get up and crawled straight into my bed. I had pain in my ribs but no bump on my head.

Today I spent the whole day in front of the TV and computer and moved as little as possible. I absolutely have to get out of here, I'm alone here in the building at the moment 2 couples moved out and even though I have an alarm, I don't feel comfortable here anymore.

In the morning I was a bit dizzy but my rib didn't hurt anymore. I needed to talk to someone and called my son who of course didn't answer and later send me a message that he was on a birthday. I thought I am nearly dying here and he celebrates birthday instead of leaving the room and answer at least. I wished him that the cake  gets stuck in his throat. Then I regretted that I had called.

Meanwhile Isabel called to know how I am and I told her the whole story, and she too said that I can't stay alone here and have to move as soon as possible. Tomorrow I go to the director of my "castle" and ask if he could prepare my room for the 15th of November instead of th 15 of December, so I can move in earlier. I have to pay two rents then, but health is more important, except if I want to join Rick earlier.

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

Mr. Alpacha presents his wives !

more participants here,
and Image-in-ing

Due to the Coronavirus lockdown, I am prisoner of my house and have to dig in my memories and the related photos.  I stumbled over these Alpaca pictures I had taken in a farm near Brussels, where on an excursion we had stopped for lunch in the annexed restaurant.

The Belgians, especially the older generation (like mine) love to sit at table for hours and eat several courses and in between there was always a long time to wait. I had got used to this when I was younger, but now I want to see and discover things and not fill in my stomach for hours. So between the main course and the desert I went outside across the fields to the alpacas which were grazing there.

When they saw me they probably thought I would bring them something, but unfortunately I didn't have anything. They were so adorable and their faces made me laugh, I thought these a anti-depressive animals, it makes even the worst negative person smile.

I took some pictures and then reluctantly returned to the restaurant, where they were just busy to let down with a string a huge cake with burning candles, which landed in the middle of the table. I missed the show, but I prefered the alpaca pictures to the burning cake !

The very first time in my life,  I saw alpacas was in England, when we drove by a farm. I asked my friend to stop the car, because I had never seen such cute animals, which I first thought to be llamas. My friend explained to me that no these were alpacas they are smaller. They have such funny faces as if they would always smile !

WHAT DID YOU DO THIS WEEKEND ?

Helps you to remember what you have done on the weekend of June 29. If you participate please put the little logo on the top of your post and leave your link.

When I opened the stores on Saturday, instead of light and bright sunshine, it was grey and dark and the rain dribbled on the roof ! I just wanted to return "under cover". Instead I got up, and was in a real bad mood ! After having done such interesting things like putting the laundry in the washing machine, I started blogging which brought me into other countries were people complained about the heat and that they couldn't go outside either and even had to wear masks because of haze.

I had to take an umbrella when I went out for some window shopping, where it was dry at least.

Of course when you look for something, you never find it. Which was my case. When I came home Mr. G. had just finished watching his Formular 1, and seemed happy about the results.  I returned to my computer and googled for something to do this week. There was strictly nothing besides outside activities, but visiting things in the rain is not really my cup of tea.

From computer I switched over to TV, but before I folded the dammit laundry.

On Sunday it seemed to be better and a miracle happened the sun came out ! I did a little walk through the market in the neighbor town found an open shoe shop (shops are closed on Sundays) and followed David Bowie's song to put red shoes on, but for that I had to buy them first, which I did. This made me feeling better.

In the afternoon, Ilona who had been in the same mood as I decided to go for a walk in the Gaasbeek park and it was really nice. The wood smelled so good after all this rain, the castle looked beautiful, and there were quiet a lot of people.

After an hour walking through the park, we were thirsty and went to the Tavern located opposite the castle. As neighbors we had

Alpacas, which are new and I saw them for the first time. The "hippie" on the bottom right, cheered us really up !

Then we watched the peacock, courting a cute peacock girl, unfortunately without success, she chased him away !

Refreshed and happy we returned home.  Mr. G. had been in Silverstone UK for the Formular 1 again and was also satisfied with his afternoon. He doesn't like to walk !
