While we in our world have tables overloaded with food, there are so many who have not enought to live. Unfortunately alone I can't do anything against it.
First celebration was with my Painting class. Everybody had brought a speciality and a drink.
Then with the family, a bit early, but there was no other date. Didn't matter, it was nice.
and then last but not least, with my Scrabble friends. There too everybody had brought a plate and a drink. We had a very funny afternoon which lasted until 8 pm !
Not much time to write these days !
I wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year !

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you too!
ReplyDeleteCan there ever be too much Christmas cheer? You are having lots and that is good. Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteLovely - but I do agree with you about it being too much. We have gone low-key and are making much much less this year.
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely, Gattina, in the greeting card!
ReplyDeletePlenty of good food on the table helps establishing a warm , natural atmosphere among relatives, friends, collegues - and that's the target.
Oh Wow, that's a lot of celebrations. I had one with my Weigh-Less members yesterday. And about to attend a Christmas Even dinner with the neighbors. This is my third year of being part of their family gathering. we will be 20 guests around the table. So we all take a dish, bowl of treats for dinner. Merry Christmas to you. xx
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday get-togethers are potluck dinners. Everyone brings their specialty dish and, of course, we all eat too much. We share leftovers too, so nothing goes to waste. I do wish we could share more of our bounty with those who don't have enough to eat. Donations to local food banks help -- not only at Christmas but all year long.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
