I am really happy that this dull month is finally over ! In February there are a lot of things going on also concerning the yearly carnival festivities.
We had so much rain and storm that if you hadn't to, you stayed home. That's what I did the whole day. I put some order in my photos in my computer and watched some little series on TV. Outside the wind howled around the house and the rain hit the windows.
Fortunately the day before I had lunch with Nicole and two of her friends in our Chinese restaurant and we had a lot of fun and as usual the food was delicious. At 3 pm we finally left, I think otherwise the owner would have thrown us out. After that we went for a coffee to Nicole and continued to chat, until the phone was ringing, it was Mr. G. anxious that he would have nothing to eat for supper ! I had a take away plate in my car ! I hadn't realized that it was already 6.30 pm !! So I left and returned home, and Mr. G. was happy with his Chinese food. The next day Nicole told me that the others stayed until 11 pm, and only left because the other husband had called to know where his wife was !!
Sunday I went to Ilona to set up her new tablet. It worked quite well and without major problems. She had served a "Masala" tea which she had bought in our Indian shop. I had never tasted a tea like this. It was really spicy and prickled in your mouth like red pepper ! After the first surprise I liked it. Must be very good for a sore throat.
She had been busy with her new painting with this bad weather it was the ideal occupation.
Hi Gattina - glad you had a happy time ... it is still foul! Still Spring is getting nearer .. cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteGood times with friends. The best way to spend a dull day.
ReplyDeleteI love spicy tea. I drink gallons of it when I visit India. As for February, I only wish I could welcome it with as much enthusiasm as you seem to! I don't like Tuesdays and to me this February will be twenty-nine of them in a row!
ReplyDeleteYou are all such great friends that time is meaningless and just flies by.
ReplyDeletePoor Mr G, he thought you had forgotten to get him some supper. Sorry to hear you're getting so much rain. Send it here - we haven't had a drop for two weeks.
ReplyDeletedeleted all my old blogs.

what lovely colors in that painting, so vibrant.
ReplyDeleteYou ladies do have fun. I used to have weekly breakfasts with a group of ladies who had all retired from the same place at about the same time; we always had fun catching up and would stay in that restaurant until we thought we would either have to buy lunch or pay the owner rent on the tables!
