Many of you know the BBC series "Escape to the country". As the weather was nice I thought it would be a good idea to do the same and just go to the country side around my city.
I stopped at an modernized old farm house and admired these beautiful horses with these strong legs.
The streets have a name, but they haven't changed in centuries !
Some beautiful mansions
smaller houses
almost little castles
a park in the middle of the town
cobbled streets
and nice little houses which haven't change, and if there weren't the cars, one could thing the time stood still.
Nice surroundings! Nothing like that over here. All the houses are made of wood, so you can never see how old they are, since every so often, they have to be clad again!

ReplyDeleteWe used to have cities like that and today they have been turned into high rises.Such a shame.
Just beautiful Gattina! I love the cobbled streets and laneway. As for the fromagerie, I could spend a lot of time in there...I love cheeses!
ReplyDeleteI almost missed this beautiful post.
ReplyDeleteThe village is so pretty it should be on 'Escape to the Country' but if someone owned a house there I'm sure they would never want to sell.
