SHOW & TELL - Terrace Heater
More participants are here at Kelly's
In February we had this pergola put up for warmer weather. But spring seems far away and I am still waiting. I am so fat up of this cold weather.
Last summer too it had been cold and rainy and we only could sit in the garden maybe 5 or 6 times during the whole season. When the sun was shining it was too cold outside, and when it was warm it rained and without roof it was impossible to sit outside.
Now I found a solution. Lidl, a well know food shop in Europe sometimes sells other stuff at a very good price. This time they sold terrace heaters ! I found this a wonderful idea. I had seen them on café terraces or outside restaurants. Since smoking is not allowed inside anymore the owners found a solution and put heatings outside on their terraces.
Now I am a proud owner of a terrace heater ! Doesn't it look nice ?
There are 3 heating levels but already on n° 1 it becomes very warm. Now I am waiting for a little sunshine and warmer temperatures and then I will be sitting outside and write my posts !

Very creative way to use your new terrace in all seasons!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely terrace, Gattina!
ReplyDeleteKathy
It kind of reminds me of our American bug zappers to keep the pesking bugs at bay when outside!!
ReplyDeleteYour corner wooden cabinet is very nice too!!
Karyl(Carol)
Stylish and elegant, with lovely terrace!
ReplyDeleteHow do people survive without a Lidl store in the neighborhood?
ReplyDelete:)
Spanish restaurants use these heaters, too, Gattina. I thought that would make you feel better...
It's a great solution to enjoy the outdoors when it's too chilly!
What an interesting world we live in. At the moment it is too hot to sit on our balony at lunch time we have to go inside to the air conditioning, but we have breakfst outside every morning in summer. In winter we have lunch outside as it is not too hot or cold. Our restaurants use the outside heaters on winter evenings.
ReplyDeleteLove your pergola and terrace.
I've never seen a terrace heater. Great invention! I agree with Eppie very stylish and elegant.

ReplyDeleteSweetie
That is great that you found this heater. I was just in Lidl in Germany. I think I hit every shop. Mostly I just window shopped, as I didn't have a lot of room in my case to carry it back!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pergola and terrace! When you have a problem, visit Lidl! Cheap and genius!
ReplyDeleteI come back since Anaïs and Kalle are again in Finland! All the week it was very busy!
Those heaters are very popular here in Scandinavia to make the outdoor season last longer and chase off the chill on a fall evening. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHi Gattina,
ReplyDeleteI hear you...I am done with Winter too! I love that heater...I hope you get to enjoy the outside soon!
Blessings,
Susie
Great idea!! Bring on spring:)
ReplyDeleteLinda C
WoW! Now I've heard of everything! I have certainly never seen one of those before! But now - why wait for warmer weather -- put that baby outside, set it on no. 3 and type away! Maybe you could buy some fake flowers to plant in your yard and that way it will look like spring NOW - and we'll all be jealous! Does that thing have tanning rays too? Maybe you could lay out in your bathing suit!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had that for my front porch today. the sun was shinning nice and bright but it was only 45
ReplyDeletelooks like the perfect solution
Sandra
GDay Gattina,, You have a lovely Terrace just perfect to sit outside and use your Patio heater..
ReplyDeleteThere widely use over hear by Cafe's,restaurants, Clubs for outdoor Dinning. Lot of places hire them out for parties.. My son and Daughter have them. there Run on portable gas bottles here and throw a lot of heat out..
some of our neighbors have those -- don't look exactly like that - but similar.
ReplyDeleteWR and I talked about investing in one - but I think we're going to get a portable fire pit instead.
We will see!
fancy :) our lidl doesn't have that.. lucky you.. the sun was shining this week here.. hopefully this is really the start of spring. this winter is just too long....
ReplyDeleteYou have such a lovely terrace....and what a creative way to be able to use it. What a find! We certainly wouldn't need to use it here in Phoenix Arizona during the summer but I could certainly use one on our patio during the winter evenings. What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteElaine :)
What a great idea! Your terrace is wonderful!
