FUN MONDAY - Unthinkable thoughts

Odd Shots and Macro Monday are here

This week's host is Faye at Summit Musings.

The Assignment:
What's on your mind as we close out 2008 and begin 2009? Large and small. What are often your first thoughts the minute you wake up? When you're alone and unguarded? Working? Stuck in traffic? Playing with the children? Walking the dogs? When you can't sleep?"

To the first question I can only answer that I don't have anything in mind for 2009, I will just continue like the years before since I am retired ! Teenagers usually have boys or girls in their minds, then school or study problems, later comes work, children etc. For me ? Nothing special except to think what can I do next to amuse myself.

When I switch on the light in the morning there are usually 2 to 4 fury reminders sitting in my room with the word "breakfast" hanging in the air.

(get the picture)

My first thought therefore is : Feed the cats. When I am alone, I am usually busy at my computer, or driving, or taking pictures with one simple thought : Can I use this and that in my blogs ?

So far I am always unguarded I am not a VIP.

When I am stuck in the traffic I listen to the radio or watch people also stuck in their cars and who sometimes are looking in their noses what they can find there or do other funny things.

When I play with children I play and have no time to think ! I don't have a dog and my 4 cats don't need to be walked, they walk themselves alone.

And to the last question : Before I fall asleep I think about what I could write for the next day. For example this text I was pondering while I waited to fall asleep last night.

Yes, and I forgot one thing of which I think mostly in the morning when I don't forget : What do we eat tonight ?

  1. Feding the cats and "What do we eat tonight are impotant thoughts?"

  3. When I first saw the heading of your post, I thought it said unprintable thoughts and got all excited wondering what you had posted about. But...the post was quite innocuous...how sad.

When I first get up in the mornings, it's feed the cats or have them make a meal of me, then coffee. I really, really need coffee first thing in the morning, then I can think.

  4. oh I forgot all about thinking about what to cook/ eat.

You do a great job finding amusing things to do... and an even better job of sharing them. So, keep those thoughts coming@!

  5. I was very excited to read your unthinkable thoughts. The title is deceiving. haha....

The first thing I think of when I wake up in the morning is, how many comments am I going to get for my latest post.

Before I go to bed every night, I wonder "How many comments am I going to get for my latest post?"

    hahahaha..... I'm shallow.

  6. My thought first would be "Wonder if Bud will take me out to dinner"....then, when I see him I think...."Nah....it'll be doing wonders if he'll get dressed today". Ahhhhhh, such is life of a retiree, huh? LOLOLOLOL

  7. Cats are such simple creatures. What to eat can be at the core of existence. They are lucky to have you.

  8. You make me miss my american cats. (Renny is allergic) When I lived in NY it was always Screamer who woke me in the morning. If I slept late he sat on the bed and stared me in the face like - are you awake yet. If I didn't wake up then he went down to my toes and tickled them with his nose and tail...if I still didn't wake up he got annoyed and bit my big toe!!! And that always got me out of bed, although possibly in a bad mood hehehe! He was clever though.

  9. No really, I meant they are important thoughts. Afterall if you don't eat, we would be quite hungry. We used to have a cat that would come in and summons us for his breakfast in early in the morning. I miss that. Take care, Gattina

  11. yup, those are important thoughts --feeding the cats and feeding the humans!! otherwise there won't be too much thinking if that isn't done at all.

  12. Ain't retirement GREAT!? Nothing to worry about but how to amuse yourself today! Gotta LOVE that!

  13. Don't you just love the utter luxury of retirement, Gattina? The biggest challenge is to make sure that someone doesn't try to structure your days. Of course, the cats (in my case the dog)don't care about your plans or what you're thinking just so long as it includes their breakfast and/or walk.

For my friends who are thinking about retirement I always tell them to be sure to have a computer--makes for a happy retirement, especially blogging!

  14. All my thoughts ... my daughters...because their love stories are like Dallas so I don't need love TV films! My dream: to have all my time for my cats and that the daughters would become quieter! So I'm jealous of you, you know! qu'il fait froid en ce moment! On se pèle dans le sud!

  15. What's for dinner is a constant refrain in my head. And outside my head when both husband and son give voice. And the dogs. And the cats. FOr some reason, they think I have all the answers...

  16. Sounds like we both have the same luxury of doing what ever we please most days. Retirement is wonderful.

  18. I spend a lot of my time looking for blog material and taking photos, but I don't have pets to worry about. However, like you I do spend a lot of time thinking about meals for hubby he is much more food orientated than I am!
