This week I am really very happy to show you our new "acquisition" ! An Acer Aspire One Baby Computer. Yes it is so small, that you could think it is a toy, but it is a real nice computer with 120 GB and Window XP ! It has everything to make happy a blogger like me and to play around for Mr. Gattino. Because it belongs to us both.
I had seen it for the first time in a Computer magazine, when I was in England and could hardly believe that such a little laptop or notebook exists ! It's weight is not even 1 kg (2.19 lbs, 0.99 kg) and it's screen 8.9" (22.6 cm) 1024x600 LED TFT. It is the ideal computer for me when I travel, I can almost put it in my purse !
When I saw it then in a shop and tried it out a little I thought we really would "need" it.
and here it is ! For comparison I asked Arthur to pose with my normal laptop and with the new one. Isn't it cute ?
Note : I can't comment on blogs using AKISMET as spam protector ! They think I am a terrible "Spammer" ! Please check ! Apparently I am not the only one from Blogger !
I like your new toy and the kitty too.
ReplyDeleteAwesome fun....great acquisition Gattina.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable computer. I think I need one too.
ReplyDeleteTry this with my blog. Don't use your usual return blog address. Use your picture one. See if it just doesn't like your usual blog.
I've written to Akismet, but have heard nothing. And so far you are the only one, I think. It's so strange that all of a sudden this is happening because I've had WP and Akismet for over 6 months!
That's such a compact little computer - you really could put it in your purse!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is impressive! It looks to be the size of my portable DVD player that we take on vacation! I am hoping to eventually have my very own laptop computer. Since Dave is doing digital photography now and all of my Genealogy research, coupled with an 18 year old in High School means that someone is always on it and storing stuff in it! (Charlie will get his own laptop with his graduation money that he gets when he graduates in June)
ReplyDeleteLast week I shared about my Grandma's trunk, the "before restoration" photos. I got it back and I have posted its transformation on today's S&T.

Oh how little! I bet you get a lot of enjoyment out of it.
ReplyDeleteI turn off all my spammer thingys. Blogger is good. My blog has never been spammed. and I can't read those weird shaped letters 1/2 the time. If I am posting to a site and have to type it in the verification 2nd time, I just move on. I think most people are aggravated by them.
Wow so tiny! It's amazing that such a small notebook works! Those verification letters are such a bother! I wish people would take them off - it just makes everything so time consuming!

What a cute little computer. I would love to have one like it.
ReplyDeleteI have a spam protector thing. It shows what has been caught and labeled spam and then I can go there and "unspam" it. I don't know if it always works that way or not.
Have a nice weekend.

You lucky girl!!! That is such a cute little laptop!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! My mom would like a wee computer, so this may fit the bill for her.
ReplyDeleteSweet kitty too.
I never thought a computer would be considered "cute" but this one surely is! And how sweet of Arthur to be so cooperative and helpful. Good kitty! You deserve a scratch behind the ears for that!
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing and have a great day!
A little merveille! the best it can be on travel!Je reviens de mon cour de théâtre et on a blagué une heure sur le parking après jusqu'à ce que nous soyons chassés par la pluie!!!
ReplyDeletehaha, you better be careful, it looks like Mr. Kitty will be posting to your blog while you're not looking.
ReplyDeleteToo cute - thanks for sharing.
I don't think I've seen a computer this small. Hope it serves you well.
I enjoyed visiting you today.
Great new tiny computer!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! NO WAY! Actually - I saw them when I was looking for my laptop - but I thought no... because eventually my laptop will be the ONLY computer I have... and I wanted a bigger screen... not littler! BUT... you travel SO MUCH that I can certainly see your NEED for such a treasure!
ReplyDeleteI saw one of those for the first time this summer. My son took it with him to Uganda to use on his internship/mission trip. He then left it there(since it had been donated to him) for the missionaries to use there. There are very small and cute!--but work great! Thanks for sharing!
