To celebrate the 50 years of the world exposition which took place here in Brussels, quite a lot of activities are being done and expositions and movies are showing a nice choice of important visitors or items from 1958 ! (You can read the whole activity program here and look at the Official blog of the Atomium & Expo 58)
Just in front of the Atomium a pavillon had been built with 30.000 beer cases !
It looks quite impressive. It is called "Pavillon of temporary happiness"
to be continued HERE.....
Wow, what an interesting and fun place to get some really great shots. Very cool!
ReplyDeleteThankyou. I enjoyed that very much.

Wow very interesting Gattina, I went to the world expo in 1980 when it was in Queensland Australia.

What a great post and you know I've been there on one of my Brussels tourist tours.
ReplyDeleteI've never been inside the building though - very impressive - thanks for taking us with!
Wow that is something! 1958. The year I was born!
ReplyDeleteOooooooh! What a fun day! It DOES look like a lego building! Oh, how I HATED swimming caps when I was a kid! I would still hate them today - but I think they've been outlawed now! LOL! (well, they should be!) Glad you got your happy thoughts into the time capsule!
ReplyDeleteWow! A pavillion of temporary happiness built with beer crates! For someone who doesn't drink, I don't feel the happiness. hehe....
ReplyDeleteBut it's an amazing structure! I would love to visit it.
hahaha.... did you ask Mr Gattino to take a picture of you typing with your toes and standing on your head?
ReplyDeleteIt would be a great WW entry! :D
What interesting photos! Really love the last one!!
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures of the pavilion itself... very cool!
ReplyDeleteWhat a really neat set of shots! I can't even pick a favorite out of all of them...the pavilion is awesome, the swim caps are fun, the fountain is great, and the last one is so cool - they are all wonderful!

ReplyDeletebut i love that pavillion of happiness more now..good idea and very creative, you are right to say you feel as if you are inside a big lego construction .. now what happens if it rains.. ?? then you'll get all wet inside?
