FUN MONDAY
Jo Beaufoix wants to know about our first ‘celebrity’ crush. The one we fancied from that band, or that film, or who read the news, or who won Gold at the Olympics.
There is nothing to do ! The whole week I raked my brain about an idol, or if I had crashed on somebody or if I had been a fan of a group or of an actor, I found nothing !
I came to the conclusion that probably I don't belong to so said "normal" people ! I remember very well that when I was 13 I liked very much Toni Curtis, Rock Hudson and Burt Lancaster.
Toni Curtis and Rock Hudson
Burt Lancaster
I even had pictures of them sticked on my wardrobe. Posters didn't exist in 1956 in Germany. I had cut them out of Star magazines. But that was it. What I was really looking for was a boy who looked like them, but in flesh and blood and not on paper.
Sometimes I found one who looked alike, but then he was so big-headed about his looks that I couldn't stand him for more than a few hours.
At that time I also discovered Elvis, loved his music and the songs, played them whole day long but only liked his voice and not the man !
Today I like George Cloony apparently I always have the same taste concerning men because he too is the same type than the once I liked when I was 13.
and then I married this one !

I think my first celebrity crush was Paul McCartney. And then I married a blond German!
ReplyDeleteLove Mr Gattino's picture, such a handsome young man.
Happy Monday :)
you struck gold! But don't tell him I said that.
ReplyDeleteLoved all those guys... Carey Grant, too. He was aging, but oh so beautiful.
I liked Tony Curtis too, he used to be in a saturday evening detective series, together with that other guy, can't really remember his name?
ReplyDeleteGreat post, Gattina, and I loved the Manic Monday too! As a matter of fact, I still "convert" to francs now and again!
Oh you had taste, and you were also much brighter than most of us, in that you looked for the reality. Brill post. And your man is very handsome.
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing, and have a brill day. :D
I think the one that you married is the best looking of the bunch!
ReplyDeleteI love the background of your blog!!
Ah now, look at the handsome Mr Gattino! What a catch!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I think you got yourself a cutie!!!!
ReplyDeleteI still love Sean Connery!
Hi Gattina,
ReplyDeleteI love your new blog presentation very pretty. Mr. Gattino's photo is great! Looks like you are attracted to tall, dark and handsome...
Oh wow.........good looking Mr. Gattino.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit today.
Mmmmm.... Burt Lancaster!!! I think you did pretty well for yourself, though!
ReplyDeleteI bet the one that you married is better than all the others put together. He certainly is handsome. Yet, you do seem to like the handsome men. Rock Hodson and Cary Grant always seemed so debonair. You are right George Clooney does seem to have that old-fashioned, good-looking, leading mand appeal.
ReplyDeleteYours is the cutest!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Fun Monday.
Jen
I think the one you picked to marry is the best ;)
