QUOTES I BELIEVE IN

Robin the pensive one, our host this week asked us to share words that inspire and motivate you--brief or bloviatory, silly or serious, from great world leaders to last night's Comedy Central...from a Hallmark greeting card to your favorite book. Choose one, choose many; let the quotes stand on their own or tell where you first read or heard them and how they affected you. There's a lot of leeway with how this topic can be handled.

From all quotes which I have heard during my life such as bible quotes, wisdom quotes or whatever, the once I like the most and I believe in are these from Budda. That doesn't mean that I am a buddist, but what he says is exactly what I believe and how I act.

I love the laughing once, it puts me in a good mood !

- An idea that is developed and put into action is more important than an idea that exists only as an idea.”

- No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path. (that also includes God, Jesus or Allah)

- The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.”

- Work out your own salvation. Do not depend on others.

- Every human being is the author of his own health or disease.

- Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

- Ennui has made more gamblers than avarice, more drunkards than thirst, and perhaps as many suicides as despair. That's very true

- It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell.

  1. Live in the present moment wisely and earnestly. Hits home.... when I'm at work I tend to "weekend" my life away.

That is a bit like what my father told me.

  10. You certainly found quotes that require thought; there's nuggets of truth scattered throughout.

Thanks for playing this week, too...AND for solving the mystery (for me, at least) of who created that darlin' Fun Monday logo!

    It ALWAYS makes me smile!

  12. Love your quotes. I decided to keep mine short so I could get it posted and luckily I did because our electricity has been off for 9 hours now. I really like your new background and header. If I could that is how I would like mine to look. I love those flowers.
