This little watch is one of my favourite cat items. The cats are carved in horn. The watch doesn't work anymore of course. I found it in London in Portobello market.
A gift from friends
and a mirror in a wooden cat frame. I found this mirror on the flea market here in Brussels. It hangs in the guest bathroom.
The view out of my window on Easter saturday !!! After a whole winter without any snow in Belgium.

Hi Gattina, sorry I havent been doing my rounds (commenting) I have had a lot of visitors lately and also been having a few tests.
ReplyDeletegood answers your feast. ill go along with 10 for honesty.
love your cat clock what a shame it doesnt work. BRRR It looks so cold there.
I think our winter is on the way we had a sudden cool change yesterday 24c and last night had the heater on, after a very long hot summer..
Purrrrzzzzzz. Love the frame.
ReplyDeleteWOW! I loved that last photo of the snow! Here in Texas, we don't typically get snow although 3 weeks ago, we got a record-breaking 7 inches! I like your kitty mirror tht hangs in the bathroom! I have posted about an old doll that I received my Great Aunt who lived in Germany!
ReplyDeletehave a blessed weekend!
Connie
Your
ReplyDeleteChristmas scene, of wet snow clinging to everything, should be a nice addition for next year's Christmas Card.
I think you got one of the storms that went through Canada's Eastern Provinces. Newfoundland had three major snow storms in a week. This is why Newfoundlanders have more and better sex than the rest of Canada.
Gattina ... just for you! I have 4 cousins whom I have not seen since my childhood. I remember them as being very boring though. The lively one became a nun!
ReplyDeleteNo... I'm not as honest as I pretend! Actually my whole blog is a hoax! I'm not really married, I cut my children out of magazines, and my mother-in-law is just a figment of my imagination! But it's all good reading and that's all that counts!
When I see dark green I think of ... pine trees.
Something truly free is water. (i don't pay for mine - it comes from my well...)
Supposedly pigs require innocent nuclear grunts.
Are YOU happy now???
And ... oh yea! I LIKE that little orange cat!
ReplyDeleteGattina - what sweet kitties you have! And the view outside your window is so lovely.
ReplyDeleteMorning! We are having snow again here this morning. I simply cannot believe it.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of your snow!
I hope the look out of your window today it is NOT snowy, lol
ReplyDeleteYour collection of cats is simply amazing!
Your home in the snow is beautiful!! I love freshly fallen show.....I also love it when it melts quickly and goes away!!!!
ReplyDeleteSusan
Love the new look, especially the background graphic!
ReplyDeletebei uns ist der Schnee inzwischen geschmolzen. Zum Glück! Allerdings warten wir immer noch auf den Frühling...
What a pretty "winter" wonderland! I love your red kitty! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteVielen danke for stopping by today. Ich nicht gutes Deutsch gesprecht. I don't know if I even wrote that correctly! On meine Mutti's and mine first visit to my grandparents in 1962, I was just beginning to speak, so that when we returned to the States, I spoke mainly German (my poor dad!) This second visit in 1965 when Meine Opi was dying I spoke quite a bit!
ReplyDeleteSadly, my parents divorced the following year and Meine Mutti didn't speak it around the house much anymore. It was probably all of the stress of being a Catholic, single Mom in the 1960's with no family nearby!
We visited Meine Omi, (Marguerite) in 1969, by then she had moved from Grabenheim to Ochsenfurt. My last visit was in 1973 for Christmas.
She came twice to America to visit. Once in 1978 when my daughter Jennifer, her 1st great-grandchild was born. Her second and last visit was when my daughter Jessica was born in 1982. Jessica's middle name is Meine Omi's name. Meine Omi passed away in 1984 but I would love to go back for a visit.
I would love to know who to contact to find out more about the doll. So far, my internet search hasn't revealed too much!
Connie
A lot of people seem to be having late snows!
ReplyDeleteNice cat things as always, especially the frame.
I love your snow picture!! it is so pretty!!! A glorius easter morn!! love your cat clock too!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. I love the snow you had for Easter!
ReplyDeleteI Love the kitty clock the best!
ReplyDeleteThe house with the snow is totally
beautiful! Looks like the Easter
Kitty with bunny ears left you a pretty present!
it is acting like winter here again, too.
ReplyDeleteThere was a time when I thought I would collect cat things. Then one day I had a big pout and threw everything away. (I hope I've grown up since then.)
