On Saturday was the annual Brussels Baloon Parade and of course I had to see that. The participants gathered at the Gare du Midi (the South Station of Brussels)
a little Smurf is already expecting us. Not very far from the station is the publisher of the smurfs and its creator worked there.

So... Brussels has a parade each year ... a HUUUUUUUGE parade ... just to celebrate balloons? Not for any other special occasion? Just to HAVE a Balloon Parade??? Is this right? Ya gotta LOVE a country that celebrates balloons!!!

My grand daughter Curlymop just recently discovered Smurfs. She's gone Smurf crazy.
I had no idea they were created there!

I'm jealous. I want such a Balloon parade too. We never have any parades over here - other from the Pride parade perhaps.
