THE GARDA LAKE - ITALY

The Lago di Garda or Lake of Garda is the biggest lake in Italy it is 158 km long and 52 km wide. It is a beautiful lake, the North with high mountains part of the Italian Alpes while the south is flat. My husband Rick was born in Rovereto and spent his childhood and youth there,  The lake is only 15 km far and we always stayed in Torbole when we visited the family.

I just take you along and show you pictures of this beautiful lake without a particular order.

GARDA LAKE ITALY

Lake Garda isn’t just one of the most beautiful lakes in Italy, boasting picturesque towns, a rich history, and striking beauty; it’s also Italy’s largest lake. Spread across three regions (Lombardy in the west, Veneto in the east and Trentino-Alto Adige in the north)

I think it is the Lake in the whole world I know the best ! Each pebble on beaches the little towns around, because Mr. G. was born and lived in the part of Trentino-Alto  Adige in the north and for 15 years each summer we went there to visit the family.

For surfers it's a paradise and also for sailing boats

SHOW & TELL

More participants are here at Kelly's Show and tell Friday

Of course I have to show and tell you about my 65 birthday we celebrated here at the Garda Lake ! I was really very spoiled !

These are me with the gifts I got from Mr. Gattino, of course all cats ! little wooden once a big one and another wooden one and of course the Venice Carnival mask !

We then went to a nearby beautiful little town Malcesine, which is called The pearl of the Garda Lake and had a glass there.

We sat just in front of the harbour where you can take a boat to make a roundtrip around the lake.

In the evening we went in a beautiful restaurant just under a mountain, with palm trees and cypresses and a lot of flowers around together with friends and a cousin and his wife.

Today I am back home and in the rain ! as soon as we crossed the Belgian border it started to rain. That was our welcome.

To all of you who wished me a happy birthday, I thank very much I was really touched.
