WEEKEND NOVEMBER 24

This weekend we had visitors, son and grandson came to celebrate Toby's birthday for the second time, here in Waterloo with his little friend Benji.

After having played football (soccer) in the garden and it started to rain, they came inside and watched a bit TV. Toby's French improves each time, as Benji only speaks French and English, as his mother is an English girl. I call them the "United colors of Benetton" together they look like an advertising !

Benji's sister is now 11 and my son's godchild. She has grown so much in a year and is a very nice girl. In the evening we had a Raclette

Different sorts of sliced cheese, ham, pieces of chicken and beef

Fun was we did our cooking ourselves

The "wine tasters"

The highlight of the two 8 year old was of course the birthday cake ! It tasted delicious !

We sang "Happy Birthday" half English half French

Mr. G helped Camille with her Unicorn outfit ! I want the same !!

On Sunday Mr.  G slept until 10.30 ! Instead of hopping around since 6 or 7 am ! That hadn't happened since ages ! I even checked to see if he was still breathing ! So we had a brunch and then we had an appointment with all of them for a bowling game.

The Waterloo bowling is really very nice and huge ! It was fully packed and we just could get the last free lane. The men played and the women chatted !

After some difficulties they finally all found the right shoe size. The fathers played too.

Benji's mother and I had a lot of fun watching them. Too quick the time was over and we had to leave. We said good bye to Benjy and family and returned home. My son and Toby had a sandwich before leaving for Amsterdam.

And for the eternity a last picture was taken from the grandparents (including Arthur) and Toby.

A very nice weekend with a lot of fun !
