Since I am back from Egypt on December 9, I only see these skies.

1. After our nice New Year celebration, we were quite a little tired, going to bed at 4 am is very unusual. We just spent the day in doing nothing but watching a movie on TV or "working" on our computers. At 8.30 pm we were in bed ! When I think that even with 25 when we were just married we danced until 5, went home, changed and went working ! Without any problem we weren't even tired. Times have changed !
2. Sitting at my computer and staring at all the Christmas decorations, I suddenly had enough. I pulled all my strength together and in no time I got rid of all this which I don't like to see anymore.
Mr. G. took the boxes into the basement and now I am ready for spring and long days !! Mr G doesn't care. He could live in a country where it is dark the whole day and night long.
3. Sales have started and apparently only slowly, the weather was so bad, we had a storm called Eleonor which blow at some places at 127 km/h, but fortunately didn't cause major damages besides fallen trees and damaged roofs. I didn't even hear anything, I think Eleonor preferred to go another way, because there was really nothing in our area.
4. With this humid weather I avoid to go out, because we have a very high level of humidity, 99 % today ! That's poison for me and I whistle like a locomotive if I do any physical effort. Patience is not one of my qualities and I start to get fed up being locked in the whole day.
I took the opportunity and made a new collage of Toby with pictures from 2017. Each year I change it. Now I have to say between 2016 and 2017 there is not much difference. Only he got taller.
5. My son had sent us his photos of Christmas.
We had spent Christmas day with his best friend.
And now their sons are the best friends. Little Benji and his sister spent a week in Amsterdam for the Christmas holidays. It is really cute to see these two playing together. They complete each other really well and Toby also has a French "teacher" because Benji only speaks French and a bit English.
Now I only hope that the sun will show its nose for once !
That is so good that the dads were friends and now the sons.Good for learning the language too.
ReplyDeleteToby is learning English as well as French? What language do you communicate with him, and what language do Toby and Benji communicate in?
ReplyDeleteLovely collage, so nice that they are all friends. Hope you have got over your tiredness from seeing in the New Year.
ReplyDeleteWe have better skies today but we definitely felt Eleanor blow through but fortunately no damage. Nice photo collage.
ReplyDeleteHow special that your son and his best friend now have sons who are best friends!!! I love it!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to see some sunshine this weekend.
Stay warm!!
I like Christmas to flow into the New Year, and then put it up as fast as possible!!
ReplyDeleteThis time of year it is dark when I go to work and dark when I leave so I get to see lots of skies like yours. But you know, you do what you can with what you have is the way I think about it for Skywatch Friday, and you did a great job.
Lovely photos! Hubby took down everything Christmas before I even got out of bed one morning. I suppose he'd had enough at that point lol. Happy Five on Friday!
ReplyDeleteHoping for sunshine for you !! Bill loves humidity, but only the warm kind like here in Florida (although it is a bit chilly right now, but warming up again). Toby and his friend are so cute together and it is wonderful the way kids learn languages so easily -- and also wonderful the way they make friends!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see these happy children, and love the shots through the wet windshield!!
ReplyDeleteLove those happy children!
ReplyDeleteWhile my family was here it was rain and wind and more rain nearly every day. The day they all left the weather started clearing and even though it has been cold, it also has been bright and sunny every single day since. Although it is about to change yet again apparently.
ReplyDeleteI am in awe that you made it until 4 a.m. I barely make it until 12:30 even with a room full of people. That is really special that the boys of two best friends are becoming best friends.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos! I can't remember the last time I intentionally stayed up until 4a.m.,wow. Hope your weather improves so you can get out a bit. It is hard being stuck inside with gloomy short days. Even with the bitter cold, the sunshine is always so helpful to me. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love the collage of Toby you made. And such wonderful photos of him with his friend!
ReplyDeleteHaving friends from your childhood are the best kind! I hope the weather clears up so you can go outside. The house is looking ready for spring :)
ReplyDeleteHope the weather changes for you soon. We have very similar weather to you but we haven't had continuous rain. I am so busy looking after my granddaughter at the moment as her mum has been in hospital this week. The new baby will be here next Thurs so it is a very tense time. Blogging is not top of my list of things to do at the moment so forgive me for not commenting on your posts.
