MY WORLD - Antique market
more participants here
Sunday mornings there is always a very big antique market in Waterloo on the parking of the Carrefour store. I would rather called it a "Flea market" because there is also a lot of rubbish for sale. But maybe in some collector's eyes it's not rubbish at all.
It was very cold and windy, and the sellers protected themselves against the cold as good as they could, even wearing blankets.
Maybe this Buddha head could be very decorative in your garden
or this rooster ?
Once new painted this could look rather nice in a big yard.
I didn't stay very long because I started to freeze, and before I turned into an ice cube I went home.

What a lovely market. And what stalwarts to brave the weather to run it. I'm able to comment this morning. Whoohoo for a bit of Internet! Have a great day, Gattina. (((Hugs))) Jo
ReplyDeleteI love flea markets, the more rubish to sort through the happier I am. I'm sure European markets are more interesting than any here.
ReplyDeleteAt least they might have more interesting rubish.
I like flea markets!!! I can't wait to walk again and return at the giant flea market near Hyères!
ReplyDeleteIf I had sell all the things wich didn't move with us, I imagine I should receive money!!! But I haven't the patience!!! I did it when I was a student and it was really a pleasure for me, a nice atmosphere and people like talking together!!!
I love walking around antique markets. Did you buy anything?
ReplyDeleteI love markets like that! What jun! Well, it would have been a lot more fun if it hadn't been so cold, but maybe they'll do another one when the weather is more inviting! Great post and photos for the day! Hope your week is going well!

What a great flea market. Oh Gattina, you should see it snowing here right now! I canceled all my plans because the roads are bad!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun. There surely is a treasure in there someplace. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like fun. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteAll the best, Boonie
As they say, one man's junk is another man's treasure. I do enjoy flea markets though.
ReplyDeleteGattina, what fun! I must admit, though, that I am somewhat of a whimp when it comes to chilly weather! Great Pics!!
ReplyDeleteAs they said "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" what is trash for you, is a treasure for someone else......
ReplyDeleteI'd quite like that Buddha head on my dining table in the orangery. Because when I get a Proper House I'm going to have lots of stained glass and an Orangery, most definitely!
