FUN MONDAY - Worst gift

Eastcoastlife asks us following question :

When it comes to gift-giving and receiving, men and women differ on many things. Are men easier to please? Show us the best and worst gift(s) you have ever received from your spouse/partner/lover?

That's far from being an easy question ! I don't know if man are easier to please than women. A gift is a gift and some people are never happy regardless the sex.

Unfortunately I don't remember any gift which was worse than a Christmas gift I got from my mother ! She had asked me what I wanted and I had told her that I needed a new toaster which would fit in my white/red kitchen.

She agreed and I got the toaster ! When I had unwrapped the package, there was a new green toaster in it with pink roses ! A horror ! Imagine that in my red kitchen !

Amongst the thousand toaster pictures on Google I couldn't find one who looked nearly as ugly as the one I got. My mother loved green and she thought everybody should love green ! No matter the colors of your house. Of course I gave this toaster to somebody who loved green and I bought a white one.

I imagine the green toaster in your kitchen too. It would look Christmassy (red and green). :P

Ok..., I would not want the green toaster in my kitchen which is white. :D

Your worst gift sounds funny. I've never seen a toaster like yours. You have one of a kind.

Now this is funny!
My worst present? A set of pots from a very cheap store. I would never have said a word to the giver, my ex-husband's Aunt, but she made this comment to me: "I didn't get the good ones because you do not know how to cook, and the marriage will not last in time for you to learn!"
I smiled and said thank you and then told her I wouldn't feel bad throwing them away!

LOL oh you poor thing.

I LOVE red. My dream kitchen that I am working on...is red and white. With Cherry decor. I envy your kitchen pics. :D

finding a suitable gift is one of the hardest things to do. it takes patience and much leg walk, if necessary!

It would have fit in mine -- but I'm trying to gear myself up to take the green wall paper down.

WOW! I have NEVER seen a green toaster with roses -- nor ANY decorated toaster! All I have seen are either black OR white OR silver. Although I did see a PINK one the other day - it is for all these Breast Cancer Awareness appliances they are coming out with now... but never cute decorated toasters! I think the RIGHT kind of decoration would make a FUN toaster!
