Even on a "Fun Monday" I complained about the bad weather in Belgium. That's why you can read here

13. Quotes about weather

1. Bad weather always looks worse through a window. (I should live in a house without windows)

2. Weather forecast for tonight: dark. Continued dark overnight, with widely scattered light by morning.

3. If you don’t like the weather, wait a minute.

4. Climate is what we expect, weather is what we get.

5. Snowmen fall from heaven… unassembled

6. Some people walk in the rain, others just get wet.

7. Don’t knock the weather; nine-tenths of the people couldn’t start a conversation if it didn’t change once in a while.

8. The trouble with weather forecasting is that it’s right too often for us to ignore it and wrong too often for us to rely on it.

9. Rainbows apologize for angry skies.

10. On cable TV they have a weather channel - 24 hours of weather. We had something like that where I grew up. We called it a window

11. To be interested in the changing seasons is a happier state of mind than to be hopelessly in love with spring.

12. Anyone who says sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain. I must be very happy !

13. Whether the weather be fine, Whether the weather be not, Whether the weather be cold, Whether the weather be hot, We'll weather the weather, Whatever the whether, Whether we like it or not

I remember that little ditty in No 13 from when I was at school! Yes, the weather certainly gives us something to talk about when all else fails, doesn't it?

As for that tsunami, it was a bit of a fizzer, thank goodness. Still better to be alerted than not.

I love this weather comment from a book about an eccentric English woman...."Ten minutes of this rain will do more good in half an hour than a fortnight of ordinary rain would do in a month".

Diane gave me the link to your blog as I had been writing and post photos about our recent European trip, including the three weeks we spent with our son in Belgium. If you have a look at my blog, see if you can guess where Russell lives. (I have been to Waterloo, so it's not too far away.)

The weather was freezing here today it only reached 17C and it will drop to 6C tonight. Still not bad compare to European winters.
Rain is good for the garden. Hope you get some sun soon.
I'm glad Alice visited you.

I find that no matter where I go int he world, the weather is always a big topic of conversation. And almost no one is happy with the weather, at least not for long.

Telling about weather i can say today it is a canicule!!! As I live in a house of the XVII century, I don't nead a climatisation but in some houses temperature must be so hot that you have to stay in water at the bathroom! i hope my vikings won't have a such temperature in august!

Ha! Weather's always fun to talk about, but you've collected some great quotes.

Very nice list. I like that snowmen fall from the sky unassembled. The weather is like that here in Calgary, if you dont like it wait a few minutes it will change.

I'm glad there's something still out of human control. Otherwise, what else would we talk about?

Kewl list of weather quotes ... methinks the second is from George Carlin. Actually WE could USE some rain here in Southern California but I could NEVER live in a house w/o windows ... seriously ;--)

This is an excellent list of quotes and I agree with most of them (dancing in the rain doesn't appeal to me at all). Last night we had lovely sunshine all day today, but it started raining in the evening. I'm pleased for my flowers, as they're getting perfect weather :-)
