  1. I remember that little ditty in No 13 from when I was at school! Yes, the weather certainly gives us something to talk about when all else fails, doesn't it?

As for that tsunami, it was a bit of a fizzer, thank goodness. Still better to be alerted than not.

  2. I love this weather comment from a book about an eccentric English woman...."Ten minutes of this rain will do more good in half an hour than a fortnight of ordinary rain would do in a month".

Diane gave me the link to your blog as I had been writing and post photos about our recent European trip, including the three weeks we spent with our son in Belgium. If you have a look at my blog, see if you can guess where Russell lives. (I have been to Waterloo, so it's not too far away.)

  3. The weather was freezing here today it only reached 17C and it will drop to 6C tonight. Still not bad compare to European winters.
Rain is good for the garden. Hope you get some sun soon.
    I'm glad Alice visited you.

  7. Very nice list. I like that snowmen fall from the sky unassembled. The weather is like that here in Calgary, if you dont like it wait a few minutes it will change.

  11. Kewl list of weather quotes ... methinks the second is from George Carlin. Actually WE could USE some rain here in Southern California but I could NEVER live in a house w/o windows ... seriously ;--)
    Hugs and blessings,

  12. This is an excellent list of quotes and I agree with most of them (dancing in the rain doesn't appeal to me at all). Last night we had lovely sunshine all day today, but it started raining in the evening. I'm pleased for my flowers, as they're getting perfect weather :-)
