FUN MONDAY - I MADE IT MYSELF
More participants here at Mama Karisma
She wrote : I would like to see or hear about things you have made with your own two hands (or feet, Im not fussy!) We all have different talents and abilities, maybe you like to sew or knit, chisel or sculpt, draw or paint? Whatever your talent is, please share it with us this week.
I love to paint and paint for many years mostly cats. This is my last painting in acrylic on canvas which represents a portrait of my cat Rosie.
(More of my paintings are here)
I also like to make flower arrangements and have done it on several occasions for example when we have our yearly painting exposition or of course at home or at friends.
Some years ago I also attended ceramic courses but gave it up now. To do it really well you need an oven and a special workshop room because it makes a lot of dirt !
Amongst others I made these both items. The second one contains my make-up "equipment".
Since two years I started also with photography and this picture I took yesterday morning in the train, when I went to the market in Brussels. There was a young man who juggled with 3 balls. I tried to be very discreet and he didn't even realize that I took a picture. I was very happy that I catched the right moment !
Now that I am retired I have enough time to enjoy my different hobbies.

ReplyDeleteI remember seeing some of your paintings and flower arrangements before! They are extremely good! I love the way you incorporate your love of cats into your work! You are very talented!
Thank you for playing this week!
You are very creative Gattina, I love all of your creations, but my favorite is definitely the makeup holder...I love that one!!
ReplyDeleteI love your portrait of Rosie. You are very talented. I have a few ceramic pieces that I made when I was in high school. They still survive. I like to make quilts also. Maybe I will participate in this week's Fun Monday.
ReplyDeleteYou are very talented! Love Rosie's portrait, I assume you have at least one of each of your cats decorating the feline gallery :)
ReplyDeleteWhat fine entertainment while riding the train!! and great picture!
That juggler is a great sneaky shot. I really like it.
ReplyDeleteYour make up holder kitty makes me smile. That's one thing about making things yourself, you know nobody else has one as special as yours!
Ah, that really is Rosie! you've choosen exactly the right color in the background for her too.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of creativity you have. I'm glad you're letting it all out :-)
The juggle photo is great captured, it's not an easy task. Fun.
The painting of the cat is so good and I love the ceramic pieces that you made~ you are very talented.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the cat painting. Of course you know by now I'm partial to the paint medium of art. Thanks for the compliment on my Fun Monday. Your words lifted me up!!
ReplyDeleteHope your day is treating you well.
Love the flower arrangements and all the cats in different media :) Particularly impressed with the make-up holder, think that's a very good idea!
ReplyDeleteI really do LOVE your cat paintings Gattina! You have a style all your own!
ReplyDeleteOh I love your make-up caddy! I wish I could find a dachshund one!
ReplyDeleteMy make-up 'tools' are all over my bathroom counter so I think your make-up caddy is priceless!
ReplyDeleteI think you are very very talented Gattina and all the stuff you have displayed look so good
ReplyDeleteI do love your artwork, gattina, i think you're a talented painter and sculptor! I can't do any of that, that's why i admire it so much!
ReplyDeleteI love those, especially your cat painting. I knew we'd see some cool stuff today. :D
ReplyDeletehe looks like harry potter -- as though he is levitation the balls.
ReplyDeleteOh I'm not at all surprised that you shared one of your wonderful cat paintings.
I'd be hanging that on my wall.
After reading your post it made me realize I've never painted a picture of my cat! I'm actually taking a class this Wednesday evening of a fat lazy cat painting. Maybe I'll attempt painting Bailey after that (she's fat and lazy so maybe I'll be able to capture her spirit after a class on a fat lazy cat).
ReplyDeleteI've also taken some ceramics classes in the past. I didn't even think to include that in my post today.
You have a lot of fun hobbies, Gattina, and I enjoyed seeing the painting of Rosie, the flower arrangement, ceramics and the photo of the young man juggling! I need to develop a bunch of hobbies to keep me busy too! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your picture of Rosie! It looks like you've caught her expression beautifully. And your cat-themed ceramics are too cute! I'm still trying to get some interesting pictures out of my camera. I suppose it might be time to read the directions...
ReplyDeleteYour works of art are delightful including the man juggling on the train.
ReplyDeleteI really like your cat paintings! The one you posted here is brilliant. i also really enjoyed hte blue cat with the orange background and hte last one with just the black cat's face. You are very talented!
ReplyDeleteI love that picture from the train - really neat how the seta creates almost two pictures in one - so separate but together.
What would made be think you art project would have a cat. hummmm.
