SHOW & TELL

More participants here

When my son lived in London I usually came back with a lot of stuff because compared to Belgium many things were much cheaper. We blamed the Euro that all prices went up. But the UK has kept their pounds and the prices had gone up too ! and I would say even more ! Everything I used to buy was the same price more expensive, so it was not worthwhile to fill up my suitcase for nothing.

To comfort myself and bring something with me I bought these cute little keyholders in a Charity shop for cats.

you can take off the coin and use it for your trolley. Only I can't use it because a pound is smaller than a Euro coin.

I also bought these salt and pepper cats.

and to show that I was at the English coast, I found these cute marine cats.

When I came home, I saw this cat hanging at the cupboard. A friend of us had been in Moscow and had brought me a Russian cat ! It really looks very funny.

My electric plate gave up its soul after 15 years of work. I had to buy a new one, which I did, just before leaving for the UK. While I was away Mr. G fed himself with help of the Microwave and restaurants but had the plate installed ! This was a nice surprise for when I came back. It has no buttons anymore just a touchable screen. Great for cleaning !

I didn't participate for a while, but now I am back !

As many of you know I love cats. So when I was about 24 and owned my first cat, family and friends started to offer me cats. Last week I showed the last version of my cat collection inside the house but here are my outside cats !

This hangs besides our housedoor and means : "attention cat !"

Two of these are standing in front of the kitchen door

and two of this one on the terrace

Under our wheeping willow tree is my animal cimetary. There are 4 cats, one dog, a guinea pig and a hedgehog burried here. My living cats use this corner unrespectfully as toilet !

For those who want to see my whole cat collection it is here

SHOW & TELL

More Show & Tell participants are with Kelly

It is rather difficult for me to find things in my houshold which are not in cat form. So I have to continue with

a little coffee or tea pot which is in our bathroom and contains cotton

a Mexican cat in my kitchen with a tile I have got from my friend in London with this nice suggestion.

and these two ceramic cats I received from Mr. Gattino now on last Valentine's. They should represent our little cat Rosie you can see in my header.

A CHRISTMAS PARCEL+ FRIDAY FEAST

Yesterday evening at 6 pm the door bell was ringing. That was quite unusual and Mr. Gattino asked me immediately "who is it ?" I told him that I am not yet able to look through the walls and the door. He sighed, grumbled and I heard him open the door. Then : "Are you expecting a parcel from the States ?" I looked at the big parcel and said "No" Ah he said you probably ordered something without knowing ! I told him that so far I had never ordered something on the net. The man from Taxi Post asked me to sign a paper and handed over this parcel to me.

I was really surprised, last time I had got a parcel I had to pick it up myself from the post office and now they have a special delivery service ! Snail mail in progress !

I looked at the sender and it was MELLI !! What a surprise !! I took a knife and worked on the parcel. Mr. Gattino asked me what was in it. I said that I don't have X-ray eyes yet. I cut and cut and cut and then came this :

I digged through and found a smaller parcel wrapped in bubble paper. I cut and cut and cut again and finally found a little parcel. Meanwhile Mr. Gattino was wondering if the parcel had been packed to play football with it (soccer) or if it should go around the world.

and finally I found these two little ceramic cats ! So beautiful and special, I couldn't believe that it was for me that somebody so far away had taken time to choose a present for me, had wrapped it so carefully and send it to me. I really was very touched. And then I thought I had to take pictures and to really point out the beauty of the cats I was looking for a white background. There was none in the whole house.

So I choose Arthur, he is white and anyway he doesn't care what I do when he sleeps. Even behind his back. Aren't they cute ?

and before I will find them a special place in my cat collection I put them on the mantel together with Santa.

Thank, you, thank you Melli !!
