WEEKEND
When I picked up my car in our garage to visit Rick, I saw a big car behind me with a strange licence number. Of course I had to take a closer look and what did I see ? A big Ukranian car probably a Tessla belonging to a very "poor" refugee from the Ukraine ! Was he hiding here in our building ?
On my way I saw that spring had really showed its first signs, a group of youngsters were playing football (soccer)
In Rick's home they were busy to put out the garden furniture and some people sat outside in the sun on the other side's terrace. The others were sitting and resting or chatting and afterwards they watched TV. Rick was not too well and only left his room because I insisted but after a while he started to look on his two watches and asked me also what time it was. I called our son via Whatsapp so he could see him and Toby, but he didn't understand well. I understood, it was time to leave and he returned in his room.
I had to go to the pharmacy to pick up my various cremes, only to hear that I have to come back on Monday evening because they all had to be especially prepared for me ! I wonder if after this treatment I will look like a teenager (everybody has the right to dream) !
The time had changed Sunday at 2 am but I slept and when I woke up I was happy that it was 8 am and not 7 am anymore, far too early for me ! Summertime suits me, and one hour time difference I don't even realize ! All clocks had set themselves without my help only my watch I had to do.
In the afternoon my two neighbors came for a coffee and Adeline had baked a cake which was delicious. She also gave me a plate with self cooked Paƫlla she fears that I don't eat enough ! She said she is happy to cook for somebody because she loves to cook and had always cooked for a large family so she always cooks too much ! She is really like a mother to me !
We went on the terrace and stated with pleasure that our garden also starts to look like spring and a cherry tree was blooming in the neigbors garden.
We had a lot to talk about our building, family and life in general, Miss Rosie watched us out of her basket. The only themes we avoided was the war and the virus ! We all had enough.
When they left I was greatful that I have such nice neighbors and probably our little group will be joined by other women living here in the building.
I was asked to translate the house rules for rubbish into English as someone is putting his trash next to the bins and not using the required garbadge bags. Can only be someone who does not understand French or is illiterate!
It does look like spring over there. Here it is cold and we are going to have more snow this week, but that is March here, pretty much every year.
