2. I felt tired and didn't do very much. The shops were all closed, it was a day off, because of the 11th of November, the anniversary of the 1st world war battle. Most of the people didn't even know why they had a day off, but nevertheless were happy especially because the weather was sunny.
3. On this occasion, near Ilona's in a little Flemish village was a huge market which takes place each year on this day.
The streets were packed people had a lot of fun and beer flowed freely we walked around and had a coffee. As the prices were as high as in a shop, so we didn't buy anything.
4. Nicole had invited me and another friend for a coffee.
I had caught a cold over the weekend with my son and DIL who had opened the windows all the time because they felt too warm and I probably had been in a draft. So I was feeling cold, Nicole felt normal and the third one took her pullover off because it was too hot for her. We had a lot of fun.
5. It had been the last day before the cold or flew really started and I felt lousy.
I still feel awful, so I spend my time between bed and TV !

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you aren't feeling well! A bad time of year to catch a cold. I remember car seats and unhappy little ones! I hope you feel better soon. Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteOh, I am so sorry you aren't feeling well. Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteI am the one who is always hot. When my family complains that it is too cool, I tell them they can always put on a sweater or sweatshirt, but there is not much more I can take off. :-)
We celebrate November 11 as Veteran's Day, to be thankful for all who have served our country in the military. I am so thankful for them and the end of WWII.

Sorry you are unwell and hope you recover quickly. Take lots of drugs!
ReplyDeleteOh no -- a cold is never fun. Take courage to know that most people in our age group look every day of their lives as bad as you do when you are sick in bed! (That 'sick' picture doesn't even look like you as you don't usually look like you could be a grandmother married all those years!)
ReplyDeleteYes, Tuesday was a day off here in the US. We had planned a hike in the afternoon, but were prevented by busyness.
ReplyDeleteI hope you will be feeling better soon. Rest. Drink lots.
I hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteHope you will feel well soon. You sounded like the three bears when you explained about who was cold, who was normal and who was hot! The only thing missing was the porridge!
