FRIDAY's FAVE FIVE
more participants at Susanne at Living to tell the Story.
1. Now that I am old at least in my passport, I started to do sport ! I have never liked any sport at all, except dancing which is also a kind of sport. Now I go twice a week to sport activities ! Acqua Gym and Yoga. Apparently it's never too late and I love it.
2. I had made some pictures of my cats on tuesday evening more than a week ago by now and had taken my camera out of it's case. Ever since we are both looking for the red case which in reality is a little red wallet, Mr. G. went through the whole garbadge, looked in the fridge and other impossible places, my cleaning lady looked too, behind and under the furniture, with the result that it is still missing. It must be in the house as I had used it in the evening before I went to bed, but the big question is : Where ?? I wouldn't care that much, but in the wallet was also my spare battery and a friend's USB key with pictures on it ! We still hope that we will find it once in a blue moon.
3. I have been to the theatre with my friend and neighbor Dominique, it was really very nice because it was a quiet small one and only 4 actors who kept our attention for 2 h !
The stage was in the middle and the public sitting around. With little means they had made a very good performance.
4. When I arrived in our city's retirement home where we have our painting class in the big celebration room, I thought I was in the wrong place !
The Christmas decoration was gone and instead I found myself in a "Saloon" ! The whole place was decorated as a Saloon, a stuffed cowboy was sitting in front of the door and inside there were lots of old pictures hanging. Now I wonder if some of the old residents had been in the States and brought these pictures back to Belgium, or if they had been found on a flea market. It was really very nicely done and I am sure all the 80 to 100 years old residents will enjoy the new decoration, which was made with their help.
5. Nothing else special happened only the usual routine.

You've had an interesting week. Well done for participating in sports activities. Keeps the old girl fit.Maybe the cats have hidden your camera case. It is nice to go to the theatre now and then but it costs a fortune here. That looks a nicely kept retirement home.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a full week. I agree with Diane, well done for doing the exercises. I also do yoga twice a week(only two of us in class!) and I do a rebounder/mini trampoline routine every morning on my own. Otherwise I seize up and can't sleep because my legs twitch! You have my sympathy about the lost pouch. Sometimes things pop up in the most unexpected places or are never found! I love the idea of a Western saloon scene welcome in the retirement home.Shows there's lots of life left in those residents. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Jo
ReplyDeletewhat a nice saloon decoration! Nice you saw a theater show!!! You know it's my favorite hobby! I go back to school!!! We fest the Kings and Queens today at school! but sounds it will rain! Sad for the pupils!!! Cause they should walk all around the school with their crown!
ReplyDeleteThere is certainly blessing in the ordinary, too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
Good luck finding your camera case. I threw my keys in the trash last week. Luckily my husband thought to look there when I was frantically searching the house.
ReplyDeleteThat is irritating to misplace something especially the spare battery and a friend's usb WITH photos. Maybe your cats have been mischievous?
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome that you do two sports each week. I knew about the aqua gym but not about yoga. I keep thinking about taking up yoga since it would help with flexibility and grace. I have neither.
My only excersize now is meeting friends for lunch.
ReplyDeleteI gave up line dancing not long ago, my feet were willing but my brain was having me face the wrong way.
I love it when they decorate as if its back in time
ReplyDeleteoh how wonderful that you do yoga and the water gym...that is great!! I like yoga exercise too and don't get to do it much during the work week. OOf course if I stopped browsing blogsI'd have more time! :) Sounds like you had a pretty good week!!
ReplyDeletekeep up the exercising..you'll reap the benefits..the saloon is a pretty cool idea!
ReplyDeleteIt's never too late to try something new! Good for you.
ReplyDeleteHope you find that camera case. Maybe where it is will come to you when you're not thinking so hard about it.
Good for you for getting into some physical activities!
ReplyDeleteI hope you find the case!
That seems to be the new style of staging, to have the stage in the middle. I'm not sure if I like it -- the actor's back will always be to someone, and I want to see their faces. But the 4 actors had to be very good to hold everyone's attention for 2 hours.
I'm always frustrated when I lose things! Sometimes I remember to pray and ask God and it's surprising how often I find things again.
ReplyDeleteGood for you with getting into sports- I've been doing a walking dvd and also pilates.
I got a chuckle from your Sat. post!
How fun with a saloon! No shooting I hope? *giggles*
ReplyDelete...oh, and I hope there will be a bar...lol...
